The Three Golden Rules To Sucess and Longivity

By: Moncio Robert Kpadeh (Sage)

Rule #1

Surround yourself with people who love, care, and always happy for you. In good times and bad times, they will stand by and with you. Their loyalty to you is pure and unbending at all times. Such people are uniquely extraordinary, hence, they must be equally loved, respected, and valued by you.

Rule #2

Slowly is the fastest way to get to your destination. Set your goals, be focused, and take your time to effectively anf efficiently accomplish them. It is better to be slow but sure, than to rush and crush down along the way. The race is not to the swift but to those who endureth to the end. Go slowly, do it right, do it smartly, and hit the jackpot successfully.

Rule #3

The top of one mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing and rising to new heights. Do not be obsessed with little gains, keep soaring to and beyond the skies. Suffice to say, never rest on you laurels. Consistent and persuasive people do great and legendary things. Aim to do great things that will impact humanity, for God created and unleash us onto the earth to do great exploits. The Wright Brothers invented Airplane. Thomas Edison invented Light Bulbs. Elon Musk has produced SpaceX Rockets, Starlink, Robots et other. These are all legendary inventions that have shaped and inspired the world in no small way, and they were achieved on the backs of hardwork, consistency, ambitiousness, and persuasive spirit.

STATEMENT BY

H.E. GEORGE MANNEH WEAH

FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA AND POLITICAL LEADER OF THE COALITION FOR DEMOCRATIC CHANGE (CDC)

October 17, 2024

It has come to my attention that the Unity Party-led government under President Joseph Boakai is making a concerted and criminal effort to undermine our democratic and constitutional institutions by using ill-gotten funds from the National Coffers to influence the unjust removal of Speaker of the House, Honorbale J. Fonati Koffa.

This blatant act of political chicanery not only threatens the integrity of our constitutional legislative process but also sets a dangerous precedence for governance in our beloved nation.

I want to make it unequivocally clear; such actions will not be tolerated. The attempt to manipulate the legislative branch for partisan gain is a direct affront to the principles of democracy and the will of the people.

Speaker Koffa has served with dedication and integrity, and any effort to remove him illegally under the guise of political expediency is a desperate and cowardly tactic that must be condemned by all who value the rule of law.

To the members of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) legislative caucus, I warn and urge you to stand firmly against this insidious plot. Do not allow yourselves to be swayed by pecuniary gains and the siren song of those who seek to destabilize our governance process for their own selfish interests. Participation in this scheme will not only betray the trust of your constituents but will also carry dire significant political consequences for your future within our party and in the eyes of the Liberian people.

We must remain steadfast in our commitment to democratic principles and the right of the people to choose their leaders without interference. Let us slso remain vigilant and united in our resolve to protect our national institutions and defend the integrity of our democracy.

In solidarity!

George Manneh Weah, Sr.
Former President of Liberia and Political Leader of the Coalition for Demoractic Change

On August 2, 1997, Charles G. Taylor was inaugurated as Liberia's 21st President after winning a landslide victory with 75.3% of the total votes in a special election held on July 19, 1997, under the auspices and sponsorship of ECOWAS.

This special election was the result of a peace plan agreed upon by the parties and stakeholders in Liberia's civil crisis. The plan was brokered in Abuja, Nigeria, in 1996, following numerous peace conferences that had failed to deliver a lasting solution. The peace plan introduced a novel electoral concept of "proportional representation," designed to ensure a level playing field for all stakeholders and political parties contesting the presidency and other elected offices.

In the end, Charles Taylor of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) emerged victorious with 75.3% of the vote, followed by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of the Unity Party (UP) with 9.5%, and Alhaji Kromah of the All Liberia Coalition Party (ALCOP) with 4.3%. Important nighttime read before you go to bed!

FrontPage Africa is reporting an alarming off-budget expenditure of over 15.6 million US dollars in under eight months by the current government, as reported by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning. This means the government spent this money on things that were not budgeted for.

This has been a practice of governments, including the recent CDC government that was heavily critiqued by the media and opposition for said practice, which pundits believe leaves public resources susceptible to corrupt practices.

Here's a breakdown of some of the key expenditures:

* 2.3 million USD on "unexplained miscellaneous"

* 2 million USD for NSA's covert operations

* 1.5 million USD for House of Representatives' special sitting

* 812,612 USD for Senate's special sitting

* 65,000 USD by Ministry of State for Thomas Doe Nah's funeral

* 191,679 USD for President's contribution to Muslim Community

* 250,000 used by Ministry of State for payment toward completion of VIP Lounge

* 30,880 USD as Ministry of State's contribution to Associate Justice Joseph Nagbe's funeral

* 28,000 USD to VP office for operations

* 1,123,000 USD to EPS for buying armored and unarmored for the President and Vice President

* 250,000 USD to Disaster Management Agency for recovery operations of miners trapped in River Cess

* 41,667 for PPCC statutory mandate

* 61,062 USD for LDEA operations

* 25,000 USD to Ministry of Foreign Affairs as contribution to James Quiqui's funeral

Etc.
