We are excited to share that our CEO/Founder, Archie Forpoh has been selected to participate in the IOM - UN Migrationโs Programme: โAccelerating Youth-Led Action in Addressing Climate Mobility in Africa (2025โ2026)โ, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark under the โClimate Change and Migration Dataโ initiative.
This programme is a direct response to youth-led recommendations and is designed to equip civil society organisations like ours with technical expertise, mentorship, and resources to deliver bold, innovative, and community-driven climate mobility solutions across Africa.
For Ignite EcoGear, this is a major milestone in our mission to harness youth creativity, indigenous knowledge, and sustainable innovation to address the climate crisis. Through this programme, we will strengthen our capacity, tap into valuable global networks, and become eligible for strategic grant support allowing us to scale up our grassroots climate solutions that focus on:
๐ฑ Climate-smart product innovation and upcycling
๐พ Sustainable green livelihoods
โป๏ธ Waste-to-value solutions for rural communities
๐ Advocacy for climate-resilient, inclusive futures
๐ We are deeply grateful to IOM - UN Migration for believing in youth-led, indigenous-rooted innovation. This moment empowers us to deepen our impact, amplify young voices, and champion a greener, more just, and inclusive future for marginalized rural communities.
Letโs keep igniting changeโtogether. ๐
