The Sports committee releases rules and regulations for the tournament as the battle of supremacy among Apex University Colleges comes closer.

Students of Apex University's colleges are gearing towards three days event that is intended to bring Unity and joy among the students body.
The Administration of Apex University of Liberia through the Dean of Students Affairs Tamba Williams Saa has organized a beautiful event for the students.
Below is the release from the tournament committee:
"Apex University of Liberia Inter-College Football and Kickball Tournament Fixture, Rules and Regulations.
1. Player Eligibility
KICKBALL GAMES FIXTURE
CBAD VS CFA/CELA
Time: 9:30am
CET VS CHS
Time: 10:30am
Kickball Final: Winner 1 VS Winner 2
FOOTBALL GAME FIXTURE
CBAD VS CFA/CELA
Time: 12:00noon
CET VS CHS
Time: 1:30pm
Football Final : Winner 1 VS Winner 2
1.1 Academic Standing
All players must be actively enrolled students at Apex University of Liberia for the current semester.
Players must provide valid student identification and enrollment verification.
Each college/department may only field students currently enrolled in their respective programs.
1.2 Registration Requirements
Team rosters must be submitted to the tournament committee at least Thursday evening before the tournament begins.
Maximum roster size: 20 players, two officials per team for football, 15 players, two officials per team for kickball.
Minimum roster size: 11 players per team for football, 9 players per team for kickball.
No player may represent more than one college during the tournament.
2. Game Scheduling and Punctuality
2.1 Arrival Time
All teams must be present on the designated field 30 minutes before their scheduled game time.
Teams arriving 15 minutes after kickoff time automatically forfeits the points.
Warm-up time will be allocated within the 30-minute preparation period.
2.2 Game Duration
Kickball:
Regular games: 3 innings per team
Championship final: 4 innings per team
Extra innings will be played if the score is tied after regulation innings
Football:
Regular games: 70 minutes total playing time (35 minutes per half).
Championship final: 90 minutes total playing time (45 minutes per half).
Halftime break: 10 minutes for regular games, 15 minutes for finals.
3. General Tournament Rules
3.1 Tournament Format
Single elimination format for both sports.
Seeding will be determined by random draw.
3.2 Equipment and Uniforms
All participants must wear appropriate athletic attire.
Football teams must provide their own jerseys with visible numbers.
Kickball teams should wear distinguishable colored shirts.
All necessary equipment (balls, goals, bases) will be provided by the university.
3.3 Officials and Referees
Certified referees will officiate all games.
The referee's decision is final and binding.
Disputes must be formally submitted to the tournament committee within 24 hours.
4. Conduct and Sportsmanship
4.1 Fair Play
All participants must demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect for opponents, officials, and spectators.
Verbal or physical abuse will result in immediate ejection and potential tournament suspension.
Excessive arguing with officials may result in technical fouls or ejection.
4.2 Disciplinary Actions
Yellow card (warning) for minor infractions.
Red card (ejection) for serious misconduct.
Ejected players are suspended from the next game.
Repeated violations may result in team disqualification.
5. Awards and Recognition
5.1 Championship Awards
Champion and runner-up for both football and kickball
Awards for each sport's players at the end of the tournament.
6. Protests and Appeals
6.1 Protest Procedure
Protests regarding rule violations must be filed within 30 minutes of game completion.
Written protests must be submitted to the tournament committee with a $500 LD filing fee.
Fee is refunded if protest is upheld.
6.2 Committee Decisions
Tournament committee decisions are final.
No appeals process beyond the committee level.
7. Additional Regulations
7.1 Substitutions
Football: Unlimited substitutions allowed during halftime and injury breaks.
Kickball: Free substitution between innings; injured players may be substituted at any time.
7.2 Overtime Rules
Football: In case of ties, penalty kicks will determine the winner (best of 5, sudden death if tied).
Kickball: Extra innings continue until one team has more runs after a complete inning.
These rules are subject to modification by the Tournament Committee. All participants will be notified of any changes at least 48 hours in advance."
