CELA DEAN BOCKARIE BROKE SILENT OVER RUMORS OF SUSPENSION AGAINST HIS STUDENTS.

Apex Drive of Apex University of Liberia
May 27, 2025

Speaking to Apex Drive on May 26, 2025 CELA Dean Mr. Bockarie vowed not to interfere or comment on students' suspension or administrative decision because the school has its own rules.

The dean of the college of education and Liberal Arts at the Apex University of Liberia has called on every student and the administrator to abid by the school handbook and policies.

Mr. Bockarie further stated that he has no intention to comment on rumors circulating on the university campus about the alleged suspension news of the CELA kickball team for not participating in the just ended editions of the inter College tournament.

It can be recalled that on May 23, 2025, the merged kickball team of CELA and CAF boycotted Apex University Inter college tournament.

The leadership of the college earlier announced their stance to boycott both kickball and football matches in the Apex University Inter college tournament this year.

According to CELA leadership, their decision to boycott the tournament was based on the college not being fully represented in the steering committee and didn’t receive any of the benefits they previously received from the administration.

Speaking with the dean of the College of Education and Liberal Arts, Mr Bockarie saids “if it’s the job description of the dean of students to suspend student for boycotting the tournament, than so be it”

He further lamented that if it’s not his responsibility to suspend students, then everyone will see.

The administrations of Apex University of Liberia through Dean Tamba Williams Saa has Warned Students Abraham Weamie to retract his allegation against the character of the Dean or face the consequences.

In a text messages in possession of "Apex Drive," the Dean of Students Affairs called on student Abraham to correct his statement labeled against his integrity or meet with legal action.

Abraham Weamie has been vocal and critical against the way and manner the planning of Apex University's Sporting activities are been carried out.

Student Abraham Weamie, whose college has not been identified by "Apex Drive" rase serious allegation against the Dean of Students Affairs Tamba Williams Saa about mismanagement of students funds in the Apex University general group chat.

"Mr. Saa, can you please address my questions...
Did you give US$380 to any committee; use the remaining US$20 for printing of tickets?" Student Abraham Weamie asks.

In response, the Dean of Students Affairs Tamba Williams Saa distanced himself from any form of financial misappropriation and called on the student to publicly apologize or face both administrative and legal actions.

"Student @⁨~Abraham Weamie⁩ you did not respond to my caution on your claim attacking my character.

You stated that I disbursed 380USD to a committee and withheld 20USD for tickets production.
If you do not retract your statement and openly apologize to me you will not remain in this chatroom.
I might also take both administrative and legal action against you." The Dean of Students Affairs Tamba Williams Saa Warns.

But in a defiance situation, student Abraham Weamie refused to apologize and stood by his statement while further calling on the Dean to address his concerns or take legal action against against him.

"You can throw me outta this chatroom and file legal actions against me... I'm not de-third by that, Sir!
I did nothing wrong. I'm speaking out my concern and asking questions.
Mr. Saa, can you please address my questions...

Did you give US$380 to any committee; use the remaining US$20 for printing of tickets?

Apex doesn't promote intellectual activities on many occasions... Debate is a means of promoting intellectual change among comrades. Why is it being downplayed and neglected?

Debaters at Apex are bleeding." Abraham Weamie defies the authority.

Meanwhile, Apex Drive is following the allegation.
