Our observant research attention has been drawn towards a massive developmental wave taking place in the recent most talk-about Montserrado County District #10 due to what has been said to be the lack of Responsible Leadership and Potential Developmental attention from its controversial Leader who is now entangled with a battle of expulsion.

Meanwhile a name Paul Romeo Kpah David is now swinging in the minds and acceptable optional opinions of many residents within the district wherein; Romeo who is said to be a successful business man with ownership of several businesses especially Zenith Multipurpose Company that have employed hundreds of Liberians, never worked in government, came from a humble and very poor beginning but yet was able to make his way through the tough paths of life to a stage of now becoming a very successful personality just within the private sector.

Our research also confirmed Hon. David to be a truly private person throughout his life when it comes to extending help to others as well as communities, wherein his normal message always to those communities and individuals he has helped was that they shouldn't mention his name but despite his usual mandate, massive evidence begun to show up recently from the many individuals and communities he has helped ranging from marketers, street vendors, churches, schools, students amongst others, excluding financial assistants towards local communities projects.

We've also gathered the foundational prove surrounding this massive movement that is gearing up to restore hope for district #10 by capturing testimonies of individuals whose families have traveled and now very successful all because of financial assistance rendered them by the benevolent character in Paul Romeo Kpah David as well as some who are yet still residing within the district, mentioning assistance rendered unto them many years ago for which, when they heard that their Godsent helper is now taking the lead initiative to restore hope for their district, they all didn't need anything else to have them convinced for much have been experienced by them already from the loving heart and hands of the selfless Romeo. It is said that from this backdrop, that the many residents engaged their son Romeo to see the need of extending his positive character that has long been very private, into taking the lead to fix the ongoing and long existing crises within the district for which they formed a movement called Friends of Cousin Kpah.

This Movement through the acceptable help of their Leader has now expanded into providing positive directions and restoring hope for the district via means of many projects ranging from uniting the district through sponsorship of sporting tournaments across communities, sponsorship of a special tutorial for all 12Graders students in preparation for the WASSCE, scholarships, safe drinking water to communities by building handpumps, prioritizing health and sanitation via renovating public toilets and is set to start building more in communities with such need and cleaning up campaigns, providing safety awareness for motorcyclist as well as printed reflective safety vest caring a public message of safety to extend said awareness, palava hut meetings to motivate residents thereby reawakening their commitment to positive change for the district wherein many have been so disappointed due to the long existing deadlock that's yet to be broken which has also led to Hon. Paul Romeo Kpah David now getting additional responsibilities due to the many positive views in recommendations surrounding developments within the district, plus many other yet to be established projects.

Thankfully, we've also managed to obtain the full personal details of Hon. David inclusive of his educational background, working experience, business profile, interpersonal attachments and a special message to the people of district #10.

Liberia Advances Landmark Gender-Responsive Foreign Policy Through Stakeholder Dialogue

Monrovia, Liberia – The Government of Liberia has taken a significant step toward strengthening gender equality and inclusive governance through a high-level Stakeholder Dialogue on the Draft Gender-Responsive Foreign Policy (GRFP) Strategy, a pioneering initiative that seeks to integrate gender perspectives into the country's international engagements and diplomatic relations.

Delivering remarks on behalf of the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, a representative of the Ministry commended the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the leadership of Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti, and UN Women for spearheading the development of what is expected to become Liberia's first Gender-Responsive Foreign Policy Strategy.

Addressing government officials, development partners, civil society representatives, women's organizations, and other stakeholders, the Ministry described the initiative as both timely and transformative, emphasizing that Liberia's commitments to gender equality, social inclusion, and the protection of vulnerable populations must be reflected not only in domestic policies but also in its foreign policy agenda.

"The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection fully endorses this landmark strategy," the representative stated. "By embedding gender equality and inclusion into our foreign policy framework, we ensure that how Liberia is represented abroad reflects the equitable society we are striving to build at home."

A key theme highlighted during the dialogue was the importance of broad-based ownership and inclusivity in the development and implementation of the strategy. Participants were urged to foster stronger collaboration among government institutions, civil society organizations, grassroots women's groups, and international partners to ensure the policy remains practical, representative, and impactful.

The Ministry stressed that the voices and experiences of women, girls, and marginalized communities must be central to the policy's development, creating a framework that promotes shared accountability and national ownership.

The dialogue also focused on translating policy commitments into meaningful action. Stakeholders emphasized the need to integrate gender considerations into diplomatic decision-making, trade agreements, bilateral relations, and multilateral engagements. Calls were made for enhanced capacity-building for diplomats and foreign service officers to equip them with the tools necessary to champion gender-responsive governance on the international stage.

According to the Ministry, gender equality should be recognized as both a national security concern and an economic development priority, ensuring that Liberia's international agreements contribute to the advancement of human rights, economic empowerment, and equal representation.

The proposed strategy is also expected to strengthen Liberia's compliance with international commitments, including the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5, which focuses on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.

Stakeholders noted that aligning foreign policy with principles of equity, justice, and human rights would enhance Liberia's global standing while accelerating progress toward sustainable development at home.

In concluding remarks, participants were encouraged to view the dialogue as an opportunity not merely to review a policy document but to create a lasting legacy for future generations.

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the process and collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of a Gender-Responsive Foreign Policy that promotes equality, strengthens diplomatic engagement, and positions Liberia as a regional leader in advancing gender-inclusive governance.

The Stakeholder Dialogue marks an important milestone in Liberia's efforts to build a foreign policy framework that reflects national values while contributing to global efforts to achieve gender equality and sustainable development.

Independent Unity Party Youth Congress Condemns Calls for Justice Minister’s Dismissal

Jacob Town, Lonestar, Japanese Freeway, Montserrado County — May 12, 2026 — The Independent Unity Party Youth Congress of District #2, Montserrado County, has strongly condemned recent public statements made by Unity Party National Youth Chairman, Togar Melvin Cephas, calling for the dismissal of Liberia’s Justice Minister and Attorney General, Oswald Tweh.

During a press conference held Tuesday in Jacob Town, youth leaders described Cephas’ comments as “reckless, divisive, and damaging” to both the ruling Unity Party and the broader democratic governance of Liberia.

The youth congress stated that Cephas had appeared on several radio programs between May 11 and 12, publicly demanding the removal of Minister Tweh without presenting evidence to any legally recognized investigative institution. According to the group, the statements did not reflect the collective position of Unity Party youth structures across the country.

“We speak not as enemies of the party, but as its loyal grassroots base,” the statement declared. “Public office must not become a platform for personal vendettas or political theatrics.”

The organization argued that calling for the dismissal of a sitting Justice Minister through media pressure rather than formal legal procedures threatens Liberia’s democratic institutions and undermines due process. They warned that such actions could weaken public trust in governance and encourage politically motivated attacks against public officials.

The youth congress further maintained that internal disputes within the ruling party should be addressed through proper channels rather than public confrontations that may damage the image of the government led by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.

The statement emphasized that the Unity Party rose to power in the 2023 elections on promises of “Rescue” and accountability, adding that public disagreements among senior party officials risk creating confusion among supporters and weakening confidence in the administration.

Addressing the substance of Cephas’ allegations, the group claimed that no evidence had been submitted to institutions such as the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission, the Legislature, or the courts. The youth congress challenged the National Youth Chairman to provide evidence to the appropriate authorities within 72 hours or publicly retract his comments.

The organization also stressed the importance of responsible youth leadership, stating that political activism should focus on organization, education, and accountability through institutional mechanisms rather than public sensationalism.

In its concluding remarks, the group called on the National Executive Committee of the Unity Party to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Cephas in line with party regulations. It also demanded an immediate halt to public statements targeting Minister Tweh and urged all party members to use legal and constitutional channels when raising concerns against government officials.

Despite their criticism, the youth congress reaffirmed its support for President Boakai and his administration’s governance agenda, insisting that their intervention was intended to preserve party unity and institutional integrity.

“We won to restore order, discipline, and respect for the rule of law,” the statement concluded. “District #2 will not remain silent while the foundation of our party and government is weakened from within.”

Promise Keep: Rep. Faika Completes Gussay–Bombom Bridge in Grand Cape Mount

Grand Cape Mount County — Residents of District #3 in Grand Cape Mount County are celebrating the completion of the bridge connecting Gussay to Bombom, a project undertaken by District Representative Hon. Gbessie Sonii Faika.

According to Rep. Faika, the construction of the bridge was necessary because residents had been facing serious difficulties traveling between towns and villages due to the poor condition of the old bridge. The bad road and damaged crossing reportedly affected transportation, trade, and movement within the area for many years.

Speaking during the completion of the project, Rep. Faika said the bridge was built to improve the lives of the people and make transportation safer and easier for everyone in the district.

Citizens of the area expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for the development initiative, describing the project as a major achievement for the communities. Many residents said the new bridge will now allow farmers, traders, students, and commuters to move freely without fear or hardship.

“This is a dream come true for us,” one community member said. “We are thankful to Representative Faika for this good work and we promise to continue supporting and working with her for the development of our district.”

Residents believe the bridge will help boost economic activities and strengthen connections between communities in the district.

In Honor of His Birth Anniversary, Cllr. Kailondo And Identifies With Hundreds of Liberians

Monrovia, Liberia – May 9, 2026 — In celebration of his birth anniversary, George B. Kailondo on Saturday distributed food and several essential items to hundreds of residents in the Vamoma and Old Road communities.

The humanitarian gesture, which attracted many community members, was described by residents as a timely intervention aimed at supporting struggling families and vulnerable citizens.

Speaking to Footage Africa Magazine, Cllr. Kailondo said the initiative was his own way of giving back to the community and helping those in need.

“My life is about giving to the needy. Many people are in need and deserve support to live better lives,” he said.

Cllr. Kailondo further noted that he has lived in the community for more than 30 years and remains committed to improving the lives of ordinary Liberians through continuous assistance and community outreach.

“I have lived in this community for over 30 years, and I will continue to give back to the needy,” he added.

Several beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the donation, praising Cllr. Kailondo for remembering the less fortunate during the celebration of his birthday.

The distribution exercise included bags of rice, beverages, and other essential household items aimed at easing the burden on struggling families.

55th National Legislature Opens Third Session, Second Quarter

The House of Representatives of the 55th National Legislature on Friday, May 8, 2026, officially opened its Third Session, Second Quarter, in a colorful program held at the Capitol Building in Monrovia.

During the opening ceremony, Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon called on lawmakers and committee chairpersons to improve the submission and presentation of committee reports for legislative action.

Speaker Koon expressed concern over the large number of reports still pending in various committee rooms, noting that such delays continue to slow down the work of the Legislature.

“There are many reports in committee rooms that need to leave the committee rooms,” Speaker Koon stated during his address to members of the House.

He emphasized that the Legislature must remain committed to addressing the needs of the Liberian people through effective lawmaking and oversight responsibilities.

“My focus now is to improve the living conditions of Liberians and make laws in their interest,” the Speaker added.

The opening program brought together lawmakers, government officials, invited guests, and staff of the Legislature as members resumed official business for the new quarter. Observers believe the Speaker’s remarks signal a renewed push for efficiency and productivity within the House of Representatives.

Senator Nathaniel McGill Highlights Development Achievements, Urges Rule of Law

Margibi County Senator Hon. Nathaniel McGill has outlined a series of major developments achieved over the past three years, while also calling on the Boakai-Koung Administration to uphold and respect the rule of law.

Speaking over the weekend in an interview with Footage Africa Magazine, Senator McGill emphasized progress made in key sectors including education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and infrastructure. He pointed to scholarship opportunities for students, improved access to healthcare services, and targeted empowerment programs designed to support young people across the country.

The Senator also highlighted financial support initiatives such as loan programs for market women, as well as ongoing road rehabilitation efforts aimed at improving connectivity and economic activity. Additionally, he noted increased opportunities for youth participation in government programs as part of broader efforts to foster national development.

Despite these achievements, Senator McGill expressed concern about the current administration’s approach to governance. He criticized what he described as a lack of respect for the rule of law, stating that adherence to legal frameworks is essential for national stability and progress.

“Liberia is bigger than all of us,” McGill said. “We must respect our laws and ensure that the country continues to move forward. We cannot afford to return to the difficult periods of our past.”

He concluded by urging leaders at all levels to prioritize accountability, unity, and lawful governance in order to sustain development and build a stronger future for Liberia.
