PUBLIC INFORMATION ON CONSIGNMENT RECEIVED BY THE LIBERIA NATIONAL FIRE SERVICE IN 2025

The Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS) wishes to inform the public that the institution received a consignment of emergency response vehicles and motorbikes on August 26, 2025. The consignment was intended to enhance the Service's mobility, operational capacity, and ability to respond swiftly and effectively to fire incidents and other emergencies across Liberia.
The consignment was received through the Government of Liberia and included fire trucks, fire jeeps, water tankers, and motorbikes aimed at strengthening the operational readiness and emergency response capacity of the Liberia National Fire Service.
The vehicles were imported into Liberia by ABK Inc. This support follows the turnover of a fleet of firefighting vehicles by ABK Inc. to the LNFS, further strengthening the institution's logistics and operational capacity.
VEHICLES RECEIVED
The Liberia National Fire Service received a total of 11 vehicles, comprising:
6 Fire Trucks
2 Fire Jeeps
3 Water Tankers
DEPLOYMENT OF FIRE TRUCKS
The fire trucks were assigned to strategic locations to improve emergency response and ensure that firefighting resources are available where they are most needed.
The designated locations include:
- Fire Station 1 – Ashmun Street, Central Monrovia
- Fire Station 2 – B**g Mines Station
- Fire Station 4 - Stephen Tolbert
- Fire Station 5 – Paynesville Town Hall
- Fire Station 6 – Boulevard Junction
In addition to deployment within Montserrado County, firefighting vehicles were also allocated to other counties as follows:
- Grand Bassa County – 1
- B**g County – 1
- Margibi County – 1
This distribution is intended to improve the Service's ability to respond to emergencies beyond Montserrado County.
MOTORBIKES TO STRENGTHEN EMERGENCY RESPONSE
As part of the consignment, the Liberia National Fire Service also received 10 motorbikes.
The motorbikes are intended to improve the rapid movement of personnel and enhance the Service's ability to respond quickly to fire incidents and other emergencies, particularly in areas where rapid mobility is essential.
The motorbikes were distributed as follows:
- Professional Standards Division – 1 motorbike
- Technical Services – 1 motorbike
- Fire Station 1 – 2 motorbikes
- Fire Station 2 – 1 motorbike
- Fire Station 4 – 1 motorbike
- Fire Station 5 – 1 motorbike
- Head of Fire Investigation – 1 motorbike
REGIONAL OPERATIONS
To strengthen emergency response, coordination, and operational activities in the regions, motorbikes were also allocated to regional commands covering several counties.
FIRST REGIONAL AREA
The first regional area includes:
- Gbarpolu County
- Grand Cape Mount County
- Bomi County
The Regional Commander received one motorbike to support operational activities and emergency response across the region.
SECOND REGIONAL AREA
The second regional area includes:
- Margibi County
- Nimba County
- Lofa County
- Grand Bassa County
The Regional Commander for this area also received one motorbike to support the institution's operations and emergency response activities.
