In celebration of Sierra Leone’s Independence, Freetown will host a multi-game international basketball series featuring top men’s and women’s teams from Sierra Leone and Liberia.
The visiting champions of the Liberia Basketball League, LPRC Oilers, will open their fixtures on April 26 against Red Flames in a highly anticipated matchup.
The headline Independence Day game will then see LPRC Oilers face Sierra Leone’s champions, Forcians, in a premier cross-border clash.
The women’s competition will also be featured, as Pelican Queens take on Liberia’s D-Rockas, showcasing the continued rise and competitiveness of women’s basketball in the region.
