Update!!
Labour Ministry Deputy Inspector General, Darius K. Weamie, expresses deep concern and disappointment over East International’s persistent violations of acceptable labour standards, including chronic underpayment, unsafe working conditions, and the consistent absence of essential protective equipment for employees.
East International, a Chinese-owned company engaged in large-scale rock-crushing operations along the Robertsfield Highway in Lower Margibi County, continues to exhibit practices that undermine workers’ rights, compromise occupational safety, and contradict the principles of Liberia’s Labour and Decent Work regulations.
