‎Unity Party Government Official Criticizes Information Ministry Over Constant Attacks on Opposition Leaders

‎By Wilmot Konah

‎Liberia’s Ambassador-at-Large Sheik Al-Moustapha Kouyateh has strongly criticized the Ministry of Information for focusing more on attacking opposition figures instead of carrying out its core duties.

‎Speaking on OK FM Tuesday, Kouyateh said the ministry has shifted away from its main role of informing the public about government policies, promoting transparency, and highlighting national programs and achievements, and increasingly getting involved in political exchanges and responses to opposition voices, which he warned could undermine government credibility and distract from effective governance.

‎Kouyateh also cautioned that this approach could deepen political tensions at a time when national unity and constructive dialogue are needed. His comments come amid growing concerns from opposition groups over the use of government communication platforms to respond to critics.

Dr. Clarence Moniba Calls Deputy Information Minister Daniel Sando “ Very Immature,” Praises Minister Piah’s Professionalism

Former Presidential Candidate Dr. Clarence Moniba has described Deputy Information Minister Daniel Sando as “very immature conduct.” Speaking on ELBC, Moniba said Sando’s conduct appears aimed at protecting his job and securing his livelihood.

He contrasted Sando with Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah, whom he praised as professional, adding that he does not expect someone he considers immature to work effectively with Minister Piah.

Moniba’s remarks were in response to Sando’s recent statement: “We will give no relevance to people like Clarence Moniba, who got 0.02% of votes during elections.”

Woman Dies in Tragic Truck Accident at VOA Junction

By Journalist Adolphus Singbeh

An unidentified woman believed to be in her late 40s reportedly died in a tragic accident at VOA Junction on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

According to eyewitnesses, the woman was traveling from Nimba County to Guinea aboard a truck carrying huge quantities of plantains when the incident occurred.

Eyewitnesses explained that the truck developed tire problems along the journey, prompting the driver and his assistants to stop and change the damaged tire.
During the process, the driver reportedly advised the woman to move away from the truck for safety reasons, but she allegedly insisted on remaining where she was seated.

Witnesses further disclosed that while the tire was being changed, the jack supporting the truck suddenly slipped, causing the heavily loaded vehicle to collapse. Before the woman could escape, both the truck and goods, including plantains being transported, reportedly fell on her.

The impact allegedly left her with severe injuries, including broken legs and serious head and body wounds, leading to her death at the scene.

Eyewitnesses also claimed that the driver fled the area immediately after the accident.

The victim’s body was later taken to the morgue at Redemption Hospital, while officers of the Liberia National Police reportedly impounded the truck and have launched an investigation into the incident.

Daniel Sando again on Mulbah Morlu …

“I repeat again, Morlu is a demonic and pathological liar. He is broke and frustrated. He is a faceless character. He duped many
Liberians as a pastor in Ghana on the refugees camp…

Under Mr. Weah’s regime who became president by default
Morlu was a goldsmith. The man who met former President Obama overnight, and the US Embassy in Liberia issued a statement denying Morlu’s claims…

The fake pastor used to wear those ancient Christ chains. Morlu is very angry, shameless, and cashless..He is very fake. Morlu is a BM.”
