Mali and Burkina Faso both situated in west Africa have made an official statement and declared war to ECOWAS if they invade Niger 🇳🇪.

The Liberia National Police has charged former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott with murder, criminal conspiracy and making false statement to law enforcement officers for the death of her niece, Charloe Musu.

The late Charloe Musu was murdered at their home in Brewersville, outside Monrovia on February 22, 2023.
Cllr. Musu Scott is charged along with two others and awaiting transfer to the court.

Currently, officers of the Liberia National Police have gathered in their numbers to turnover the former Chief Justice to the court for prosecution.

Popular Nigerian chef Hilda Buci has broken the old longest cooking hours previously held by Indian Chef Lata Tondon who made meals for 87 hours, 45 minutes and 00 seconds.

The amazing fact is that at the time of writing this report, she had also cooking for 87 hours and 50 minutes and still cooking.

Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci, is attempting to break the Guinness world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

The cook-a-thon held in Lagos, which is set to last for 90 hours, started on Thursday, May 11, and is expected to end on Sunday, May 14.

The Guinness Book of Records is a reference book that contains human and natural world records.

It was first published in 1955 by the Guinness Brewery in Ireland and has since become one of the world’s most well-known and frequently read reference books.

Individuals or groups must submit proof to the Guinness World Records team and go through a verification process to qualify for a world record listing.

Here is a list of Nigerians that have broken the Guinness World Records in recent times:

1. Gbenga Ezekiel - Record for the most skips in a minute on one leg. (February 2023)

6: Chinonso Eche - The most football headers in a prone position in one minute, which is 23. (October 2021)

7: Vincent Okezie - The most consecutive backward handsprings with a football (soccer ball) between the legs. (March 2022)

8: Haruna Abdulazeez - The most American football touches with the feet in one minute (October 2020)

9: Peter Aho - Record for six wickets for five runs in 3.4 overs against Sierra Leone. (October 2021)

Nollywood actor, film producer, and director, Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi is dead.

The actor was said to have died on Sunday, last week, May 7th in the home of one of his siblings.

According to reports, the disagreement between his siblings is the reason why his death took almost a week to be made official.

The movie star came into prominence in his role in Zeb Eiro’s ‘Sakobi’ and was featured in over 100 movies.

He is also well known for his roles in Candle Light, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, and amongst others.

President Kagame visited the Mahoko Commercial Center and Centre Scolaire Noel de Nyundo, where buildings and other school infrastructures were washed away by an overflow of water from the Sebeya River. The President also visited Pfunda Tea Factory, which experienced severe damages as a result of the heavy rainfall. The Western Province, which was most affected by the floods and landslides, has seen over 5,000 people displaced as rescue interventions continue to prioritize their permanent resettlement.

A Kenyan activist and human rights defender want parliament to pass a bill that will force foreign countries, especially the United States, to return 80% of visa fees when an applicant is denied a visa. Boniface Mwangi says the failure of the embassies to return some of the applicant's money is an act of outright robbery.

A Liberian Woman by the name of Nancy Pyne is claiming to be the mother of Ivorian super Star Franck Yannick Késsié.

The 26 year old footballer plays as a midfielder for Spanish Giant, Football Club Barcelona. Madam Pyne told Ok FM that she bore Kessie and another son by an Ivorian man while living in Sinoe County. She said the boys were taken to the Ivory Coast by their father in order to attend school and since then, she is yet to see her children.

"I learned that Kessie and his brother were sent to Europe after several attempts to find my children", madam Pyne explained.

Frank Kessie father who was once a professional footballer and also served the Ivorian Army is now deceased.

The Ivorian Midfielder's Professional Profile only provides information about his father but nothing is mentioned about his mother. Madam Pyne said she has had sleepless nights over the years hoping to one day find her two children.

A Liberian Student studying in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus who has been battling mental illness for a while now was hit by a car and suffered numerous wounds and a broken arm.
Eye-witness accounts of the incident show that Tenapu Carter jumped toward a moving vehicle and was instantly hit by it. After the tragic incident, she was rushed to the government’s hospital and underwent surgery.
However, before being officially discharged from the hospital, Tenapu fled the hospital for a friend’s residence. Since then, she has been a constant menace to that friend.
As a result, The Liberian Students’ Association in Northern Cyprus in collaboration with her parents are pleading with the general public to help them raise the amount of 3500 USD to transport her to Liberia along with a travel partner who would look after her on the plane because we have been given a week by the hospital to do so. This is their only hope as she would be in the care of her family.No act of kindness, no matter how tiny, is wasted. Donate to help save a Liberian student's life in Cyprus.
