B**g County District Seven Representative - elect, Foday Fahnbulleh, has declared his intentions to contest as Deputy Speaker of the 55th Legislature.

Mr. Fahnbulleh's decision stems from his support to the election of Unity Party's standard bearer, Joseph Boakai, in both the first and second rounds of the election, in which Boakai won both Sanoyea and Fuamah Districts.

His support to the Boakai-Koung ticket puts him ahead of his fellow B**g lawmaker, Moima Briggs-Mensah, who supported the outgoing ruling Coalition of Democratic Change.

The management of LIFE TV Liberia pities outgoing Rep. Edward Karfiah who happens to be the worst victim of the 2023 elections in B**g County.

After his defeat by Johnny K. Kpehe Sr. in the just ended B**g Senate race, he was hoping strongly that the CDC wins in order to get at least an appointment in government as a trump-card to 2029.

With over 99% of the runoff results announced, it is already clear that former Vice President, Joe Boakai, is the next President of Liberia.

This development sounds too costly for Karfiah, who had thought that his best friend, Finance Minister, Samuel Tweah was going to make a way for him in government.

Imagine living a private life until 2029, no coupons, kickbacks and bogus salary.

Fellow Citizens of B**g County,

Your efforts, support and sacrifices have given me name and respect in and out of Liberia.

I and the family remain grateful for the confidence reposed in me to serve you as the Senator of B**g County.

The "Making B**g Better" mantra has emerged as a mandate because of my election as the senator-elect of B**g, suggesting an alternative platform where all B**gese can come together regardless of tribe, religion, and status believing a system that gives future to the youth, women and girls, people living with disability, the elderly, the marginalized, farmers, etc.

I wish that we can dedicate ourselves to championing political, economic, and social justice, with the ultimate goal of supporting the system that builds a prosperous and equal society that benefits all citizens.

B**gese, during the campaign for the Senate, I told you that my political party was B**g County. I believe that B**gese are members of the forty six parties in Liberia, and need to work with everyone as we lead an inclusive and progressive agenda that drives the much-needed transformation of B**g County.

However, the first crucial step that faces our county after the runoff is healing and reconciliation. I see too much division among us during this runoff election. In order for B**g to move forward, we must find the courage and determination to mend the wounds of the runoff, and create the spirit that B**g County is bigger than anyone.

Unity must prevail transcending political, ethnic and religious differences if we must forge ahead as a County.

B**g County needs all B**gese everywhere and at all levels to be a part of this inclusive and progressive agenda (Making B**g Better) ; and together, we believe that B**gese can transform B**g.

As we go to the poll on November 14, 2023, please be peaceful, knowing that a peaceful Liberia is better for all of us.

Rep. elect, Kollie Promises to Underwrite the University Expenses of Valedictorian

B**g County District #5 Representative elect, Eugine Kollie, has awarded a university scholarship to the 2022/2023 valedictorian of the David Faijue High School in Gbartala, Yellequelleh District, Ronnie Jimmy.

Representative elect, Kollie said the move is part of efforts by his office to motivate valedictorian Jimmy and the student community, and cultivate the spirit of studiousness amongst students.

Hon. Kollie assured the valedictorian that his office will do everything humanly possible in order to help him achieve his targeted goals in life.

He also announced the provision of more educational opportunities for students of the District over the course of his first six years in office.

He then presented a little token of forty thousand LRD (40,000) to the administration of the David Faijue High School.

According to Hon. Kollie, twenty thousand of the amount is intended for the school, ten thousand for the teaching staff and the remaining ten thousand for the graduating class.

He also hinted at the construction of an auditorium for the school, which he said will be a joint project of him and Margibi County Senator elect, Nathaniel McGill.

The B**g District #5 Lawmaker elect also used the medium to rally citizens support for the reelection of President George Weah in the November 14 runoff election.

He added that the reelection of President Weah will open doors to the influx of developments in the District.

Kollie vowed to use his proximity with the president and other top officials of government to transform the lives of citizens of District #5.

He spoke at the graduation exercise of the David Faijue High School on Tuesday.

Flash floods have hit parts of Kenya, cutting off roads and submerging vehicles.

In the coastal city of Mombasa, many road users were forced to abandon their cars and use motorbikes to access the airport and train station on Friday, after floods cut off roads in that section of the city.

In the county of Isiolo in northern Kenya, locals are searching for a young man who was washed away by floods as he rode a motorbike on Thursday.

The conservation organisation Save the Elephants also rescued eight people from a sinking lorry on Thursday, after floods trapped them.

It is not the first time a conservation group in Kenya has stepped in to save humans from floods - earlier this year The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust used their helicopter to rescue a stranded driver.

The meteorological department had warned that El Niño rains could hit Kenya and other East African countries from mid-October and cause flooding, infrastructure damage and possible deaths.

Neighbouring Tanzania and Somalia have also experienced heavy rains in recent days.

But on 22 October, Kenyan President William Ruto caused an uproar when he claimed that the country would not experience El Niño, a natural weather event, as had been predicted.

As well as causing changes to rainfall, global temperatures typically increase during an El Niño episode.

Karfiah is a dishonest man! Just in 2018, he came to us (B**gese) with Dr. Henrique Tokpa, saying that Dr. Tokpa was the right man to lead the transformational drive of B**g.

Today in 2023, the same Karfiah is coming back to tell us that Dr. Tokpa is unfit to transform B**g County.

This is shed dishonesty and hypocrisy on the part of Karfiah. This man cannot, and shouldn't be trusted with any political leadership anymore. All he cares about is his stomach.

In District #5, he assured citizens that he was not going to support a particular candidate but less than half a year following that pronouncement, Karfiah has formally endorsed CDC candidate, Eugene Kollie.

Karfiah is a greedy native punk who is using public finance to enrich himself and build a solid foundation for his children.

The shortcut to ill-gotten wealth in Africa is public office. Karfiah who was a pauper 12 years ago has now become a millionaire overnight.

His wealth has been attained mainly from signing bogus legislative instruments and malicious misappropriation of public funds.

In an effort to continue his looting, Karfiah is begging B**gese to make him Senator after 12 years of dangerous criminality in District #5.

The question is: "how possible is it for Karfiah to develop a whole county in 9years if he couldn't develop a District in 12years"?

Well, this question will be answered in the next twenty plus days, when B**gese shall vent their anger at the ballot box.

The young man in the photo below is Dweh Sopolu, he was severely beaten and injured by some men on the orders of Stephen Gbarsah, a senior staffer in the office of Rep. Karfiah.

The incident took place recently at Crown Hotel in Paynesville, Montserrado County, following a mass meeting with Rep. Karfiah and people he trucked to B**g County during the voter registration.

Karfiah had called the group to remind them about returning to B**g to vote on October 10.

Karfiah reportedly made available 200k LRD as transportation following the meeting.

Dweh Sopolu said he was beaten on the orders of Mr. Gbarsah after refusing 1,600 out of the money for his group, on grounds that the amount was infinitesimal.

According to Dweh, neither Rep. Karfiah nor Gbarsah has reached out to him since the incident, as he continues to feel pain from two of his front teeth.

He has been in hospital for the past days at his own expense.

Incumbent Briggs Mensah Holds Political Territory Tight

An independent LIFE TV views sampling in B**g County District #6 has uncovered that Incumbent Lawmaker, Moima Briggs Mensah, stands a better chance of a possible Capitol Building return.

About seven, out of every ten interviewed, believe there is no need to change the incumbent, based upon the level of progress the District has experienced under her watch over the last six years.

Those in Salala praised Rep. Briggs Mensah for refurbishing and modernizing the Salala town hall, and the restoration of the Salala Broadcasting System which has been down for years.

In vote rich Totota, many hold the view that the Lawmaker deserves another term to complete her works. She was also commended for the opening of community roads in Totota, which has increased easy access to the main street.

Rep. Briggs Mensah also enjoys huge love in the women community, owing to the fact that she too, is a woman, and has over the years been instrumental in championing the protection of women and children rights.

The incumbent District #6 Lawmaker who is contesting as an independent candidate, also holds a great stake in the Muslim community.

Over the years, she has managed to establish a solid rapport with the Christian community, thus identifying with churches across the District.

This platform learned that the Lawmaker pays a little over LRD$3M at high schools and universities for beneficiaries of her tuition aid program since 2018.

Several communities have witnessed the construction and dedication of town halls and market facilities across the District.

These developments only reflect the harsh reality that the Rep. Briggs Mensah is very likely to retain her precious seat.

Five men including Marcus Binda, William Thompson, Stanley Sackie Richard Natee and William Kollie Gagbo are challenging the incumbent Salala District Lawmaker for the seat.

Former Vice President Joseph Nyuma Boakai flew in from Accra Thursday following a three day working visit to Ghana.

On arrival at the Roberts International Airport,he told newsmen that he went on a mission for his Party to Ghana.

He pointed out that he will be going on a campaign trail to talk to the people of Liberia and supporters about the rescue mission.

Commenting on the footage of CCTV released from the Roberts International Airport, the Unity Party Standard Bearer said this is the reason why the country should be rescued and referred to the release of the video as an invasive of privacy.

Behind the scenes punishment -corruption King Kong, Karfiah exposed again

Convicted criminal and fraudster in chief, Edward Karfiah, has been denied a US visa for the third time following his refusal to face prosecution in order to exonerate himself from his LACC corruption indictment.

In July 2019, the Grand Jury of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in B**g County through the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) and the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), indicted Rep. Karfiah and others for acts of corruption in the construction of the B**g County Technical College.

Karfiah and others reportedly diverted US$2.7m intended for the BCTC construction into their pockets.

Karfiah has since denied his involvement in the criminal act but continues to escape prosecution in order to prove his innocence.

His reported denial of a US visa is part of the US government's commitment to the fight against corruption in Liberia.

It is understood that Karfiah might never step legs in America until he makes himself available for prosecution in order to be vindicated of the act.

The US and other countries are now closing the doors to African leaders like Karfiah, who deny their people of basic social necessities in order to enrich themselves.

Karfiah allegedly owns a healthy foreign bank account in Ghana, where he purchased nearly half a million US dollars compound a few years ago.

This platform has not independently verified how much is in that foreign account, but it is understood Karfiah might have a little over a million US dollars in it, considering his involvement in wanton corruption over the last twelve years.

Over the years, Karfiah has smartly invested a good portion of his corrupt money in properties, businesses and shares.

Gbaota Citizens came out in their numbers on Saturday to endorse Representative candidate, Orando Zarwolo, and former Vice President, Joe Boakai.

Mr. Zarwolo who is running on the Unity Party's ticket, is the main rival of incumbent Josiah Marvin Cole (CDC) of District #3, B**g County.

Gbaota citizens believe in Orando Zarwolo, they have found the man to liberate the District.

They also noted that Joe Boakai remains their choice for Presidency.

The two endorsements were performed in the presence of Senator Prince Moye, National Campaign Manager of the "Rescue Mission."

Senator Moye then pledged 10 pieces of solar street lights for the community.

Over the weekend, LIFE TV covered a campaign tour of B**g County Senatorial Candidate, Johnny Kpehe, in Panta and Kpaii Districts.

The tour took the team to several towns and villages in the two Districts, interacting with, and garnering the views of citizens regarding the B**g senate race.

There are ten candidates vying for the seat.

From an impartial political point of view, the race is a tight contest between industrious Businessman, Johnny Kpehe, and District #5 outgoing Lawmaker, Edward Karfiah.

As it stands now, the odds hugely favor Johnny Kpehe, who is making a remarkable political debut in the body politics of the County.

While touring Panta District, the senatorial hopeful visited the below listed towns and made these interventions.

1. Foequelleh Town..... eight (8) bundles of zinc for the renovation of the only market building in the community.

2. Bellemu Town...... committed to settle salary arrears of about eleven volunteer teachers.

3. Garmue Town........ one hundred thousand LRD to the christian community and fifty bags of cement for the fencing of the Garmue clinic.

4. Shiankpua....... seventy five thousand LRD (75,000), with a pledge to renovate and modernize the only town hall in the community.

5. Gbarnga Siaquelleh.... LRD fifty thousand (LRD50,000) and two sets of jersey.

6. Gwenyea.... one desktop computer to a computer school and LRD twenty five thousand (LRD25,000).

Kpaii District

1. Sarworlor Town..... two hand pumps and LRD twenty five thousand (25,000).

2. Baila town........ two hand pumps along with LRD seventy five thousand (LRD75,000).

3. Palala....... one hundred thousand LD along with thirty bags of cement for an ongoing youth center project, six sets of jersey (3 for men, 3 for women) and two rolls of lappers for midwives. Twenty pieces of solar lights.

4. Galai....... LRD fifty thousand (LRD 50,000).

B**g County Senatorial candidate, Johnny Kpehe, has concluded a daylong meet and greet visit in Panta District.

The visitation took Mr. Kpehe to several major communities, interacting with citizens and making some quick interventions.

While en route to Panta, the B**g County leading Senatorial candidate couldn't pass by Sarworlor Town in Kpaii District, where a record crowd had gathered along the road to welcome.

Mr. Kpehe instructed his team to commence the construction of two hand pumps in the community with immediate effect, following a request by citizens.

Hon. Kpehe and his team received a rousing welcome on their entry to Foequelleh, as citizens reaffirmed their support to his senate bid.

He at same time pledged eight bundles of zinc for the renovation of the Foequelleh market kitchen on the request of the citizens.

In Bellemu, Johnny Kpehe committed to settle salary arrears of about eleven volunteer teachers.

Mr. Kpehe presented a hundred thousand LRD to the christian community in Garmue and fifty bags of cement for the fencing of the Garmue clinic.

Seventy five thousand LRD (75,000) was presented to the people of Shiankpua, with a commitment to renovate the only town hall in the community.

Mr. Kpehe also made interventions in several other communities including Gbarnga Siaquelleh and other communities.

The people of Panta promised to expressed their gratitude for Johnny at the ballot on October 10.

Karfiah and his dangerous political tactics were exposed recently when he was seen on camera touring with Eugine Kollie on the opening day of campaign. LIFE TV has also received an audio of Karfiah cautioning citizens to support Eugine Kollie. LIFE TV has also gathered a video recording of his wife, Mrs. Johnetta Karfiah, cautioning the people of Garyea in Yellequelleh District to support Enoch Garlawulu, describing Eugine Kollie as a different man son. Analysing the current drama, one can deduce that Karfiah and his wife are playing a dangerous political game amongst various candidates in order to use them as a trump-card to his senate ambition. Narrowing down this drama to the aforementioned Bible quotation, this house is not actually in order and it's bound to fall. Karfiah will be defeated!

Rep. Kolleh had gone Red Light market to await someone whom he had planned a rendezvous with when he met a few people believed to be natives of Bong County when he began the conversation. Unfortunately, one of those in the gathering recorded Rep. Kolleh and shared the audio with our platform.
