President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has officially commissioned Hon. Edwin K. Jallah as the new Deputy Director-General for Human Resource Management and Policy at the Civil Service Agency (CSA).

The commissioning follows Hon. Jallah’s successful confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate, which voted overwhelmingly in favor of his appointment after a favorable report from the Senate Committee on Autonomous Commissions and Agencies, chaired by Sinoe County Senator Hon. Crayton O. Duncan.

Renowned Liberian educator and pioneer of hands-on science education, Adam Jarto Kallon, has weighed in on the viral "All High School Alumni Uniform Challenge," a massive homecoming trend capturing the attention of thousands across Liberia.

"The ALL HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI Uniform Challenge is a great idea, but one question keeps bothering me:
WHO BEWITCHED US, LIBERIANS?

Why are we ashamed to show Liberia as it really is?
We take pictures of our communities and schools, then use AI to give us paved roads, beautiful buildings, clean environments, and standardized campuses—things that, in many cases, simply do not exist.
The pictures look beautiful, but are we celebrating reality or an illusion?
There is nothing shameful about showing our broken roads or struggling schools. What should concern us is pretending these problems don't exist.
AI can pave the road in a picture, but it can't pave the road in front of your house.
AI can build a beautiful school in a photo, but it can't fix the real one.Let’s show Liberia as it is. We cannot fix what we are afraid to admit exists."

The challenge, which took off across social media following its introduction by Lib Brunch, encourages Alumni from various eras to put back on their old secondary school uniforms or customized regalia to relive their favorite teenage memories. The viral momentum has culminated in major national celebrations, including street parades and fundraising homecomings.

The streets of Tubmanburg and surrounding communities were painted yellow on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, as jubilant citizens turned out in massive numbers to welcome a fleet of 15 brand-new earth-moving machines delivered by the Government of Liberia.

Senator Johnny Kpehe Awards Scholarships to 143 Students at Cuttington University.

In a major boost to higher education and human capital development in Liberia, B**g County Senator Johnny K. Kpehe Sr. has awarded financial scholarships and tuition aid to 143 students enrolled at Cuttington University for the current academic semester and also reviewing applications for B**g County University and supporting students at, UMU, AMEU, the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, and more..

"I am Pleased to announce the approval of 143 Cuttington University scholarships for students from B**g County 103 undergraduates in Suakoko and 40 graduate students in Monrovia. This builds on our efforts to expand access to higher education. We are also reviewing applications for B**g County University and supporting students at UMU, AMEU, the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, and more. Plans are underway to include high school students countywide soon."

Reports indicate a significant financial commitment behind the initiative, with undergraduate beneficiaries receiving no less than US$400 each toward their tuition, while graduate students are benefiting from at least US$600 in tuition aid.

In addition, several exceptionally performing students within the cohort have been granted full-tuition scholarships. In total, the Senator's office is estimated to be spending over US$30,000 this semester alone to bankroll the initiative.
