It is with deep sorrow that the Brown, Kpahn, Duwoe, and Anderson families announces the passing of their beloved Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandfather and Great Grandfather (Dr. Theodore V.K. Brown Sr.) who departed this earth on August 12, 2025, at his residence in plumkor community, Brewerville.

His remains had been deposited at the AB Anderson's Funeral Home.

Dr. Theodore V.K. Brown Sr. will be dearly missed by his (wife) Mrs. Oretha K. Brown, his (Children) Frederick H.V.K. Brown, Famata Beyah Brown, Joyce Tenneh Brown Lape, Clarence Brown, Clarence Brown, Clarencia Brown, Theodore V.K. Brown jr., Satta T. Kamara, Stephen Ofei, Gladys Ofei, Roland Ballah, J. Kelvin Fallah, David C. Walker, Daniel Flomo and Anthony Siakor. His (sister) Maima S. Brown, cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of relatives in and out of Liberia. May his soul rest in eternal peace 🙏.

The family wishes to inform relatives and friends that the remains of the late Dr. Theodore V.K. Brown Sr. will be removed from the A.B. Anderson's Funeral Home on Friday, September 5, 2025 and taken to the Trinity’s Cathedral Episcopal Church on Broad Street @6:00pm - 9:00pm for a period of wake-keeping were all tributes will be paid with the exception of the host church and the family.

On September 6, 2025, the funeral service for the late Dr. Brown commences at about 10:00am at the Trinity’s Cathedral Church, followed with an internment at the family cemetery in Charles V.K. Brown's town, in Bomi County, Liberia.

The proposed sh**ha ban in Liberia is a well-intentioned policy, but we must be wise in our approach. Prohibition in the U.S. failed because it created a black market, empowering criminals rather than solving a problem.

Let's not repeat that mistake. A ban on a product with clear demand won't work. Instead of going after users, we must go after the big fish—the importers and kingpins who profit from this trade. Let's hit them where it hurts.
