Shadrach Destiny Brown Sr. A son of Bomi county, Mr Brown earned his bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the East Africa University of Rwanda and he is awaiting his graduation in November of 2025. Mr Brown is a media practitioner and he has earned several certificates locally and internationally, Mr Brown is a member of the alumni association of the Virginia First Assembly of God Mission High School, where he graduated in 2011. In 2013, Mr Brown began his journalistic journey with the famous Radio Bomi where he served as News Reporter and he went on to work for several electronic and print media institutions including: Brewer Communication Inc- 88.8 FM, Red Powerfm , Kings FM, The Heritage Newspaper, District one communication Inc, in Grand Capemount county, he went on to served as General manager of Trust TvBomi as well as the western region correspondence for LINA.
In 2024, Mr Brown was appointed as Director of Communication at the Ministry of Transport, where he runs the media and publicity arm of the ministry.

Sieh Gballey Thomas is a son of Bomi county, born in Saymabu Town. Mr Thomas attended the St. Dominic Catholic High School and graduated in 2013, he later got admitted at the AME Zion University in 2014 and graduated with a Bachelor of Art degree in Criminal Justice in 2019.
Mr Thomas also earned other certificates in Leadership and Development, Anti corruption, Data Analysis and Management.
Mr Thomas is a teacher, mentorship coach and a politician.
Sieh Thomas got actively involved in the body politics of Bomi around 2017 and fast forward to 2023, he was actively engaged with the election of Hon. Obediah Varney as representative of senjeh district and Hon. Alex Tyler as senator of Bomi county.
He currently serves as Data Analyst in the department of Motor Vehicles at the Ministry of Transport.

Alpha O. Bah
born in the Vai #3 community, Tubmanburg, Bomi County.
Mr Bah started his primary education at the Eric Z. Zinnah elementary school in Tubmanburg and later enrolled at the St. Dominic Catholic High School. Years later, he attended the United Pentecostal mission school and later went back to St. Dominic Catholic school and his family later moved to Gbah where he continued his education and later on graduated from the Sime Darby Central High in 2016/2017

After his graduation in 2017, Mr Bah got involved in National politics for which he supported Hon. Snowe then, for Representative of Senjeh District as first time voters Chairman for Gbah and the plantation. After the process and Hon Snowe was elected, he was opportuned to travel to several African countries(Guinea, Senegal, Benin and Egypt) and he came back in 2019 because of the Corona virus pandemic. In 2020, he also supported Hon. Snowe as Senator of Bomi County as First time voters Co. Chairman for Bomi.

In 2021, he also supported Hon. Finda Alice Gborie Lansanah for the Representative seat of Senjeh District by election for which she won and he was opportune to work in her office as a Filing clerk and after the 2023 elections, he was recommended at the National Concessions on Conflict Resolution Office ( NCCRO) at the Ministry of Internal Affairs where he works currently as a monitor of Concessions in Grand Cape mount county.

In 2025, Mr Alpha Bah contested in The Bomi Community College students council government election where he was elected by the students as president and his inauguration is pending.

He combines over a decade of professional experience with a robust academic foundation in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, and International Development to advance solutions that strengthen institutions and create opportunities for people to thrive. His career reflects a consistent ability to bridge theory and practice—transforming academic knowledge into tangible, real-world outcomes for individuals and communities.

Over the past 11 years, Alpha has taught, tutored, mentored, supervised, and advised students from diverse backgrounds and socio-economic contexts. His approach is not only instructional but transformational—helping students graduate, develop leadership skills, and secure competitive employment. Many of his mentees have gone on to contribute meaningfully to their communities, a testament to his commitment to long-term impact. Beyond his direct engagement with students, Alpha has taken proactive steps to improve educational systems, including spearheading institutional reform at his alma mater that expanded access to academic programs for previously excluded minorities and people with disabilities.

Our Bomi Progressive Youth of the week is Mr. Benevolent Tarweh Pinto Surkula

Mr Tarweh P. Surkula
Born in Montserrado but his parents are from Damah town, senjeh district, Bomi county
He's a proud son of Bomi county

He graduated from the famous C.H Dewey Central High School in Tubmanburg, he's a former student of AME University, he also graduated from Smythe institute on 16 Street, Sinkor.
He holds an Associate of science degree in nursing (ASN) and Bachelor of science degree in Nursing(BSN)
He's a Register Nurse (RN)

Mr Surkula holds several certificates including the following:
*Certificate in computer science (Nabba 22 Unmil)
*Certificate in public Procurement (LIPA)

Mr Surkula has held the following position listed below in his professional career:
Former medical officer, Executive Protection Service.
Fromer classroom teacher (FM Reid Jr. AME school, Camp Johnson Road)
Chief Executive Officer, Liberian youth for disease prevention.

Mr Tarweh Surkula is currently studying Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in Diseases Prevention and control at the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, Located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang province, People Republic of China.
