Monrovia, Liberia — The Government of Liberia has issued a statement clarifying information regarding the release of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results. The government described the circulating information as "misleading".

Addressing scoles of Journalists today at the MICAT Regular Press briefing in Monrovia, specifically at the Charles Gbenyon Press Hall, Dale G. Gbotoe said the information currently in circulation about the WASSCE results does not accurately reflect the situation. He assured the public that an official announcement will be made through the MICAT platform once the results are ready for release.

Meanwhile, Gbotoe urged students, parents, and the general public to remain calm and await the official announcement.

The WASSCE boss added that he purposely came to address the Press on different current and national issues instead of announcing results. He emphasized that any information released without official confirmation should be treated with caution.

He reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accuracy in the release of important information in the country.

However, he noted that an official statement will be issued either on the 12th or 15th of this month once the WASSCE results are officially ready for release.

" Students and parents are advised to rely on official sources for updates on the WASSCE results rather than they say." He concluded...

Blamo Toe Launches 12-Pillar Manifesto Ahead of LEGISPOOL August Elections

MONROVIA, Liberia — Blamo N. Toe, a potential presidential aspirant in the Legislative Press Pool (LEGISPOOL) elective congress, has unveiled his campaign manifesto, ELEVATE LEGISPOOL. The manifesto promises a new era of excellence, access, and accountability in LEGISPOOL.

*The ELEVATE Agenda*

The ELEVATE agenda is built on several key pillars, including institutional reform, welfare and professional support, capacity building, and investigative journalism. Toe's administration will prioritize these areas to promote excellence, accountability, and transparency in LEGISPOOL.

*Institutional Reform*

Toe's administration will establish a Constitution Review Committee to revise vague provisions and include a clearly defined logo/emblem, transparent eligibility criteria, and member-driven reforms per Article 18.

*Capacity Building and Partnerships*

The ELEVATE platform will focus on capacity building and partnerships, partnering with Internews, CSOs, and government bodies for ongoing training workshops, mentorship programs, and reporting grants and innovation incubators.

*Empowering Members*

Toe's administration will prioritize transparent finance and member contributions, institutionalizing timely reporting, budget discipline, and member dues enforcement. The administration will also appoint Coordinators in both Chambers to strengthen inclusion, representation, and real-time responsiveness.

*A Vision for Transformative Leadership*

"We are contesting to lead LEGISPOOL not as a matter of title, but as a mandate to redefine professionalism, promote transparency, and empower every member of our press family," Toe said. "Our vision is rooted in transformative leadership, one that is ethical, collaborative, innovative, and above all, uncompromising in defending press freedom and institutional integrity."

*Leadership Team*

Toe's team comprises Jerromie Walters as Vice President, Zac T. Sherman as Secretary-General, and Feona Benson-Kollie as Assistant Secretary-General. Together, they are confident that they can deliver on their promises and take LEGISPOOL to the next level.

*A Collective Movement*

Toe's campaign is built on the acronym ELEVATE, standing for Empowerment, Leadership, Ethics, Visibility, Accountability, Transparency, and Excellence. "It is a collective movement to ELEVATE LEGISPOOL — where members are supported, journalism is dignified, and leadership is responsive," he said.
