The Office of the President of the Greater Outreach Christian Academy Alumni Association (GOCAPHYTA) extends warm greetings to all members and stakeholders of our noble institution.
This release is intended to address concerns raised regarding the relative quietness of the Association following the official inauguration of its new leadership.
Firstly, we sincerely acknowledge the communication gap experienced over the past few weeks. This unfortunate situation arose due to unforeseen technical challenges, including a frozen mobile device and the temporary suspension of our official communication platform for nearly a month.
These setbacks significantly limited our ability to effectively engage with our members, and we deeply regret any inconvenience caused.
Secondly, the absence of active engagement since the inauguration has largely been due to ongoing administrative arrangements.
The leadership has been in anticipation of securing a functional office space as promised by the school administration.
It is important to note that having a designated office is essential for the smooth coordination and ex*****on of our activities.
We are, however, pleased to inform you that as of today, the leadership has revisited discussions with the administration.
We have been assured that the office space will be made available to the Association by the week following next Tuesday.
While the space has been identified and inspected, we have been asked to allow the administration some additional time to officially turn it over to the Association.
Furthermore, we wish to assure all members who contributed the amount of One Thousand Liberian Dollars (LD$1,000) towards the inauguration program that your support remains highly valued and accounted for, though not many of you did, but it's still appreciated.
As earlier communicated, LD$500 was allocated for the inauguration program, while the remaining LD$500 was intended for an Inaugural Ball.
Given that the ball did not take place, the leadership is currently considering proposals to organize a special alumni gathering.
This event will serve as an opportunity for members to connect, interact, and enjoy a meaningful time together. Details regarding this gathering will be communicated shortly.
In addition, the leadership will soon convene a strategic meeting involving all former Presidents and past leaders of GOCAPHYTA.
This meeting is aimed at fostering collaboration, sharing ideas, and collectively charting a stronger path forward for the Association.
Following this engagement, the Association will proceed with the appointment of additional officials, the establishment of committees, and the possible expansion of leadership roles to encourage broader participation and collaboration among members.
We want to assure all members that the current period of silence should not be mistaken for inactivity. Rather, it reflects a phase of careful planning and strategic groundwork to build a more vibrant, inclusive, and effective Alumni Association.
In the coming days, we will also announce a regular meeting schedule, provide updates on dues payment, and share other important organizational developments.
We kindly ask for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we work diligently to reposition GOCAPHYTA as an accessible and impactful association for all its members.
