Amelia Cassell, the land administrator for B**g County, has warned citizens not to purchase land based on tribal certificates in the County.

During the B**g County Council's third quarterly sitting in Gbarnga, the Land Administrator mentioned that the issue of tribal certificate land sale has been a significant concern reported by field officers.

She urged B**g County residents to use the Land Administrator's Office as a means of purchasing land.

She made the statement in Gbarnga, B**g County on July 24, 2025, when Madam Amelia Cassell, appeared before the B**g County Council Plenary for questioning on a land-related issue.

B**g County Council Hosts 3rd Quarter Sitting in Gbarnga

The B**g County Council's 3rd Quarter Sitting has been officially launched today, July 23, and it will last until July 24, 2025, in the County

The B**g County Council 3rd quarter sitting is expected to address key county development priorities, review of the past project reports from the County leadership, and ongoing projects, among others.

Speaking at the first day opening of the sitting, the Chairman of the B**g County Council, Aaron Sackie-Fenlah, said that the two discussions will focus on decisions that directly impact communities across the county.

However, the B**g County Administrative Officer and Acting Superintendent D. Sam Baryougah Elliott hailed the Council members for their steadfast assistance in the County's development.

At the same time, Mr. Elliott presented the past project reports to the County Council members for review.

The ceremony is being attended by delegates from various Electoral Districts in the County, civil society actors, student community.
