People in Grand Bassa County burnt a town to ashes following the mysterious disappearance of a 21-year-old boy, Blama Chea, at the hill of a river.
Blama and his brother, Maron Chea, fished on October 25, 2022, when he reportedly flees into thin air.
“My brother and I woke up and decided to go fishing by 6:00 AM but while I was getting in the canoe, I saw the water shaking behind me.
Before I could look behind, I discovered that my brother who was holding the canoe for me to get in it had gone missing and I couldn't see him around.” Maron TV, a popular TV station in Grand Bassa County.
According to Maron, he quickly ran to Malakor town and informed the others about what had happened. Angry protesters joined Maron in the search for Blama Chea.
They reportedly set the entire town on fire when the missing boy could not be seen and threatened to burn other nearby towns if Blama “does not come from the spirit.
