Number 25, 2025

Lofa-Liberia, The atmosphere in the District Three office is thick with tension as the fallout from recent suspension continues to ripple through the halls. Chief of Office Staff Mr. Emmanuel Mulbah Korvah and his colleague, Mr. Varlee K. Kanneh a political officer, finds themselves at the epicenter of a controversy that may lead staff divided and the community questioning the spirit of Team work.

In a move that has sent shockwaves through the office, Mr. Kanneh was suspended for two months without pay following allegations of serious misconduct.

The first charge centers around his failure to attend an in-person meeting convened by the office, a crucial gathering meant to discuss pressing issues. This absence not only hindered the workflow of the office but also raised eyebrows regarding his commitment to his role.

The second, and more damning charge, involves the unauthorized use of a lawmaker’s profile to secure a loan from Bokonjadeh Group. This action, taken without the knowledge or consent of appropriate office authorities, has led to accusations of breach of trust and ethical misconduct despite according to Mr. Korvah Mr. Kanneh been warned verbally.

Mr. Kanneh greeted the suspension letter with smile but however disclosed that he did not refuse to attend the in-person meeting but was ill and communicated to his Boss. He further explained that he loaned money from Bokonjadeh group as it is his right to do so without the involvement of anyone as he is using his personal salary to pay back. However, he was not given any warning verbally or written letter as claimed by the Chief of office staff and does not regret the action taken.

Sources close to the situation describe the office as being in disarray, with employees concerned about the repercussions of these actions on their reputations and the office's credibility despite the COS said all is okay.

For now, the corridors of the District Three office remain charged with tension, as employees navigate the fallout of a scandal that has left many questioning the integrity of their leadership.

The community watches, waiting for a resolution that will restore trust and confidence in their elected officials.
