Hope Foundation Liberia Conducts three (3) days Summit in Voinjama City.
The Hope Foundation Liberia, in collaboration with local partners, successfully concluded a three-day youth empowerment summit, on February 14, 2026, bringing together over 115 young people from across Liberia. The event, held in Voinjama City, Lofa County, aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to lead with hope and empower the next generation.
The summit featured three renowned facilitator's who shared their expertise on various topics:
Mrs. Oral T Siakor, Dean of Health Sciences at Lofa County University, presented on Mental Health and Sanitation, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing well-being in daily life. Mrs. Saikor encouraged participants to take proactive steps in maintaining good mental health and promoting sanitation practices in their communities.
In her presentation, she highlighted the important of stress management and it's benefits for young people.
Yoing people should avoid being carry away by pear pressure Mrs. Siakor said.
Mr. Johnson Flomo, CEO of Kitech, spoke on "Problems Identification and Solutions with Innovative Minds," encouraging participants to think critically and develop innovative solutions to address challenges facing their communities. Mr. Flomo emphasized the need for young people to be proactive and take ownership of solving problems.
Mr. James Papy Kwabo , Professor of Mass Communication at Lofa County University, presented on "Leadership Strategy for Young People," inspiring participants to become agents of change in their communities. Mr. Kobow shared practical strategies for effective leadership, emphasizing the importance of integrity, accountability, and vision.
The summit also featured interviews with Mr. Momoh George Kamara, Co-Funder of Hope Foundation, and Arthur Kolubah Jallah, CEO of Hope Foundation, who shared insights into the organization's mission and goals.
The Cor-Funder highlighted the importance of empowering young people to become leaders in their communities, while emphasizing the need for collective action to address challenges facing Liberia's youth, with the Theme: Leading with Hope: Empowering the Young Generation.
The CEO also express unexpected joy embracing participants for their collaborative effort applied to making the summit a success. Our expectation was to host 100 youths but unfortunately, we were able to accommodate over 115 youths across Liberia which serves as a great testament the CEO Said.
Meanwhile, He also called on the Government of the republic of Liberia, National and International NGO'S and the Local Organization's to help in making his vision for the young people to be accomplished.
The event was part of Hope Foundation's Liberia broader initiative to support youth development in Liberia, providing opportunities for Self growth, education, and empowerment. The summit concluded with a call to action, encouraging participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained to make a positive impact in their communities.
