SPECIAL STATEMENT BY Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr

STANDARD BEARER, UNITY PARTY
And President-elect, Republic Of Liberia

Fellow Liberians, one of the primary objectives of my administration, starting from day one as the President of Liberia, will be to tackle corruption head-on. The cancer is eating up the country and it must be faced with utmost brutality.

I will establish and fully empower renowned anti-corruption czars, entrusting them with the critical responsibility of recovering stolen funds and ill-gotten properties from officials of the Weah Government. With their unmatched expertise and track record, you can be assured that they will be well-equipped to deliver results.

We must acknowledge that a comprehensive and effective investigation into the corrupt activities of the Weah regime will be absolutely critical to achieve success. Rest assured, my government will actively pursue the recovery of ill-gotten gains and hold accountable those who have abused their positions of trust. The scrutiny will extend to all the individuals directly and indirectly in their transactions.
The fight against corruption demands a thorough examination of the Republic of Liberia's contracts, appropriation and ex*****on of the national budgets, existing audit reports as well as other related financial records.

Furthermore, this process will be conducted transparently and impartially. Independent institutions tasked with combating corruption and building robust systems of accountability will be adequately funded and empowered to play a pivotal role in this endeavor. Their professional insights and meticulous investigations will enable us to uncover any illicit enrichment and ensure that justice is served. Those individuals who find themselves unable to provide a reasonable explanation for their sudden accumulation of vast wealth within a span of fewer than six years, based on their declared incomes, will be required to present their case before the judiciary.

Let me emphasize that this initiative will be fueled by my desire to restore faith in our democratic institutions and ensure that public resources are used for the betterment of all Liberians. By retrieving these unlawfully acquired assets, we will be able to redirect funds towards essential services such as education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and job creation. This will also send a strong signal to my own appointed officials that the highest degree of integrity is demanded of them or our reinvigorated and well-resourced anti-corruption institutions will go after them.

Together, we can build a Liberia that is founded on principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability. I urge you all to support our campaign to fight corruption, as it is crucial for the future prosperity of our beloved nation. Let us stand united in our determination to create a fair and just society for every Liberian, where opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of their background or connections.

Let’s Think Liberia, Love Liberia, and Build Liberia.

Comment by some Nigerian political analyst

DO YOU THINK APC IS SAD THAT GEORGE WEAH DIDN'T RIG TO WIN?

1. If George Weah had rigged the Liberian Presidential election and won, APC would've been happy and be the first to congratulate him.

2. If George Weah had rigged and won, you'd have heard APC say; "There's no perfect election anywhere in the world, we congratulate George Weah in his reelection. It was a keenly contested election but Liberians have spoken loud and clear. We now invite the opposition to congratulate him and join hands with him to move Liberia forward.'

3. But George disappointed APC. Who would see how the illegitimate Nigeria's misfit is alienated and humiliated all over the world, and still tow the same line? Only a f○○l will.

4. George must have done his best. Liberians believe his best is not good enough for them. George did not insist that he's the master strategists, and rigged himself back to power, he recognised and respected the will of the people to chose whom they want to lead them.

5. Now George can hold his head high anywhere on earth as true democrat and command the respect he has earned.

6. George has shown both Buhari and Tinubu that the way to advance democracy is to allow free, fair and credible elections even when you the incumbent suspect that you'll lose at the polls.

7. Liberia, once assisted by Nigeria has shown that it has advanced in democratic principles above Nigeria.

8. History will be kind to George, and most certainly not to Mahmood and 'Emi lokan'.

LIBERIA SHAMES NIGERIA
》President George Weah shames Buhari and Tinubu.

》Oversees peaceful, free, fair and credible election.

》Lost.

》Conceded defeat.

》Congratulated the winner.

》Pledged to work with him.

》Wait and see investors interests in Liberia.
