[The Wait]
The in between getting what you prayed for and the confirmation of what you are praying for,
Let us call it, THE WAIT!
This is the part where staring at the wall becomes boring so you draw on it instead.
It's the part where the journal entries are left unfinished because everything might as well be.
Its the decluttering of the mind and acceptance of reality.
Realizing it's never going to be what it was but it also isn't what is was so that's a good thing.
"Smile a little" dear child; not all black is sad if black is the colour of your skin.
Black is my happy colour so maybe it can be yours too.
Black!
Let's find ourselves in the darkness,
Stars shine brightest right there.
Let's love the scars and the glitches.
Let's be grateful for the diversity even if it's sometimes so very isolating.
"Wait on the Lord"
Sometimes the wait period seems endless.
Sometimes the wait period seems unbearable.
Sometimes the wait period is painful,
Shedding the dead habits and learning new ones.
Change is crippling, but the comfort zone is blinding.
Let the Art be your entertainment and the Lord be your guide.
Let the shedding be beautiful Because souls like ours break gracefully.
Rid yourself of all shame because what good is a mistake if you do not turn it into a lesson.
Pain is power.
Pain is power.
Pain is power.
Even with tears streaming down my face in a cold dark room inside my head,
At war with all parts of my being,
Pain is power because that's what we do during the wait.
That's what it takes to reprogramm the mind of the dead.
