Just a cord for now.

But soon it will become the tie that holds the open back of my crochet playsuit together.

I love these quiet little parts of making a garment — the ones that don’t look dramatic on their own, but make the final piece feel finished.

One round at a time, and suddenly a little sun starts to grow.

I love projects like this — when you don’t fully see the final shape yet, but every round brings it closer.

This 35 cm crochet sun is becoming the front of a summer playsuit. Next challenge: turning the circle into a square, shaping the boat neckline and building the rest of the garment around it.

Sometimes designing is just trusting the next round.
