This moment brings us one step closer to making an important film happen.
We’re incredibly happy to share that Lietuvos kino centras has confirmed production support for ANTONIVKA, the new feature film by Kateryna Gornostai.
We’re deeply grateful for this support. This has been, and continues to be, one of those journeys where every step truly matters. It has also made it possible for more Lithuanian talents to join the project.
ANTONIVKA is co-produced by:
Vika Khomenko, Moon Man (Ukraine)
Dagnė Vildžiūnaitė, Just a moment (Lithuania)
Yohann Cornu, Damned Films (France)
The project has previously received support from the European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films (ESFUF), ARTE France Cinéma (ARTE), Creative Europe MEDIA (Creative Europe), the Ukrainian Film Academy’s Script Development Grant Program, and received the TorinoFilmLab Production and Green Filming Awards, and ArteKino International Award.
Just a few more applications between us and production. We can’t wait.
The story of ANTONIVKA is set in the future, postwar Ukraine. A young couple, Aurora and Darko, move to the house of her grandfather, who survived the village occupation alone and just had a mild stroke. New life begins, but death is still present.
