At the heart of every Authentic Riga experience lies a deep appreciation for rarity, craftsmanship and stories worth savoring. It is in this spirit that we invite you to an extraordinary culinary journey in collaboration with the iconic Champagne house Krug.
Founded in 1843, Krug Champagne is revered not only for its uncompromising pursuit of excellence, but for its unique approach to individuality — composing each edition as one might a symphony, blending over 120 wines from multiple years to craft what many consider the pinnacle of non-vintage Champagne. Each bottle tells a story of time, nuance and precision.
For this exclusive occasion, Restaurant Barents celebrates the beauty of a single, often underestimated ingredient: the carrot — its sweetness, earthiness, and extraordinary range. Paired with rare expressions such as the Krug Grande Cuvée 173ème Édition and, for the first time in the Baltics, the Krug Rosé 29ème Édition, this evening will reimagine harmony on the plate and in the glass.
Dishes will include hand-dived scallops, black sturgeon caviar, heirloom carrots, and cacao bean miso — elegantly composed to mirror the complexity and elegance of each cuvée.

Join us for an evening in collaboration with the legendary Champagne house, where we will celebrate a seemingly simple yet surprisingly versatile ingredient: the carrot.
The evening will be paired with exquisite Krug Grande Cuvée and Krug Rosé, including the very first bottles of Krug Rosé 29ème Édition and Krug Grande Cuvée 173ème Édition served in the Baltics, paired with fresh scallops, black sturgeon caviar, carrots and cacao bean miso.
