My child learns so much on the screen...

One out of many reasons toddlers should not be solely left alone to learn on the screen is so that they won't see the screen/online as their first teacher.

Parents need to take advantage of the Law of First mention, which implies that the first place your child learns a thing/ concept, the place /person is seen as an Authority in that thing/concept.

Dear parents, as much as you can, be the first person to teach your child a lot of things, I am not even talking about academics, things like self identity, your family religion belief, values, emotions regulations, honour, integrity, dillegence, body changes, puberty, age appropriate s*x conversation, menstruation ( your girl should not hear this First from her peers or teachers in school), wet dreams, crush, feelings, lust, love, p**n education, trends, social media prons and cons, the list is endless.

So if a toddler begins to learn *so much* on the screen, the child sees the screen as a goto place, as the child grows, the child will make Google/YouTube/AI/ ChatGPT/ social media the mother and father to receive instructions for living from and ask personal questions....

This is why parents should not fall into the temptation of exposing the children to the screen too early, instead get more knowledge on how to be the Parent -Teacher for your children.

I'm TEA, your favorite Early childhood Educator with steeze.
If this helped you, share it with a fellow parent or save it for later.
