New episode here! ✌🏻We dive into the fun, creative and decidedly fail-worthy world of beauty and makeup! Boy this was a tough one. This week we wanted to talk about race and racism, but it ended up feeling more like a conversation around culture, stereotypes and making sense of differences. The truth is, I don’t know if we were completely prepared to tackle this topic but we had to start somewhere. Conversations - even imperfect ones - are still worth having.

This week, we get a little more serious. Mary reads out an email from a friend, , who shares her most life-changing struggle after leaving a job, and feeling like rejected/unsupported by those closest to her.

Divvya is also starting support group for women who have lost a job, spouse (through death or divorce), or faced other emotionally/mentally difficult events in their life. The group will be focused on creating a safe environment where women can work on managing anxiety, depression, and creating a community of like-minded individuals. If you’re interested in joining or finding out more, DM her at .

On a separate note, in this time of COVID-19 craziness, we hope everyone is staying safe, washing their hands, and practicing social distancing measures. Support and uplift your community, nourish yourself, and let’s all get through this together.

Thank you for being our guiding lights and allowing us to become all that we are today! And to the many wonderful men in our lives - keep listening, growing and learning with us. There is so much more that we can achieve together. 🙌🏻

Do you catch yourself thinking “I should have done better.” “I’m not _____ enough.” “I’ll never succeed at ______ so I’m not even gonna try”? These thoughts only lead to a black hole of self-loathing and distress… and not much else. The irony is we would NEVER speak like this to a friend, so why do we think it’s ok to do it to ourselves?

If you were your own best friend / loving parent, what would you say to uplift, enrich and encourage yourself? How about “You’re doing amazing, even if you don’t feel like it right now.”, “You’re making progress - think how far you’ve come already!”, “No matter what happens, I love myself and the energy and passion I pour into everything that I do!” You can acknowledge hard realities of failure, without tearing yourself down.

So, what could you say to yourself today?
