[on Long Island] Yesterday morning I was capturing photos of the moon until an air-to-air refueling mission came into view. It was a pair of F-16s being fueled by a KC-46. (I had to ask people who knew aircraft’s to help me identify.) the estimated distance to them is 17,000ft.

This photo was captured on Long Island at 06:23 ET on 9/12/25

[Macro Shots of Water Drops]
I spent over an hour between setup (see last image) and capturing images of dripping water. These two were deemed “worthy” but I am still not 100% satisfied with how they look. The difficulty was in the timing of me pressing the shutter (in high continuous burst) and getting the drops within the focus of the very narrow depth of field. I will continue another time and eventually post the images.

[exposure settings] 1/8000s; f7.1; 16,000 ISO; 90mm with 10x macro filter attached.
