Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 6 Issued Amid Southwest Monsoon (Habagat)

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 6 due to the ongoing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). Several regions are under different levels of alert as heavy rains threaten to cause flooding and landslides.
Red Warning (Severe Threat):
- Oriental Mindoro,
Hazards: Severe flooding in flood-prone areas and a higher likelihood of landslides in landslide-prone regions.
Orange Warning (High Risk):
- Romblon
Hazards: Flooding is threatening low-lying areas and near river channels; landslides are also a concern in susceptible areas.
Yellow Warning (Moderate Risk):
- Marinduque,
Hazards: Possible flooding in low-lying areas and near river channels.
In addition, moderate to occasionally heavy rains are affecting:

- (Donsol, Pilar, Castilla, City of Sorsogon)
These conditions may persist for 2 to 3 hours and could impact nearby areas.
The public and local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices are advised to stay vigilant, monitor weather updates closely, and prepare for potential evacuations. The next warning is expected to be issued at 08:00 AM today.
