Such a fun trip. We drove 2,000 miles in the Tesla Model Y and had a blast. Here are some of our suggestions for our favorite things to do and places to eat in Philadelphia, Niagara Falls and Pittsburgh.

This past weekend we took a long weekend trip to Boone, NC. Boone is in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. Here are some of our recommendations for the best places to stay, eat and visit.

**WHERE TO STAY**
Graystone Lodge, Ascend Hotel Collection - Boone, NC - We had a great experience here. We will definitely be going back

**WHERE TO EAT**
Come Back Shack - They have the best burgers and all around some of the best food we had on our trip.
The Pedalin' Pig
The Pedalin' Pig Boone - Great BBQ in Boone or Blowing Rock.
- Great local diner.

**WHAT TO DO**
See Sugar Mountain, NC - Nice town with great skiing.
Beech Mountain Ski Resort - Some of the best skiing in the area.
Explore Boone - Downtown Boone is beautiful.
Blowing Rock, North Carolina - Hometown charm is a wonderful town.
Mast General Store - A must visit while in the area. They have multiple locations. Reminds me of my grandfathers country store.
The Shoppes at Farmers - Awesome little store in downtown Boone.

**With the Blue Ridge Parkway being closed, make sure to visit the "Little Parkway" for some scenic views.

In our latest video and the final episode of our Texas road trip series we visited the Dallas - Fort Worth area. See below for some of our recommendations for the area.

**WHERE TO STAY**
Hilton Garden Inn - Always a great hotel chain to stay in.
Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dallas - The view from the pool is amazing.

**WHERE TO EAT**
Chop House Burger - Great burgers and food using local ingredients. Chop House Burger
Haywire Uptown - Great food and a great atmosphere.
Velvet Taco - Some of the best tacos we have ever had.

**WHAT TO DO**
Fort Worth Stockyards Business Association - Make sure to do this while in the area. Such a unique experience you won't get anywhere else in the world.
Dallas Farmers Market - Make sure to stop here in dallas
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza - A true piece of american history
Pioneer Plaza - This is the location of the cattle sculpture in our video.
Klyde Warren Park - One of the coolest parks we have been to.
M-Line Trolley - It's FREE and such a unique experience.
AT&T Discovery District - Make sure the stop here at night.
Giant Eyeball Dallas, Tx - Such a unique sculpture.
Grassy Knoll - A part of American history.
Thanks-Giving Square - A small but fun park in Dallas.
Big D Fun Tours - Local tour bus company showing the best sites in Dallas.

**BONUS**
Allen's BBQ Arkadelphia, AR - This one wasn't in the Dallas - Forth Worth area, but we ate here on our drive home. The food was great and this is a family owned business.

**WHERE TO STAY**
Riverwalk Plaza Hotel - A great boutique hotel in the heat of San Antonio right on the riverwalk.

**WHAT TO EAT**
Potbelly Sandwich Works - Always a great option.
Chipotle Mexican Grill - Always a great option. There tacos are amazing.
Dunkin' - Honestly the best coffee you can get.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. - The restaurant is right on the riverwalk and has some great seafood.

**WHAT TO DO**
The Alamo - It wouldn't be a visit to San Antonio without going to The Alamo.
San Fernando Cathedral - Be sure to go at night for the light show.
San Antonio Missions - A little out of the city, but a great stop.
Historic Market Square - Be sure to shop local at market square.
Go Rio Cruises - This is a must do when in San Antonio.

**WHERE TO STAY**
Hyatt - We always suggest Hyatt for hotels.
Hyatt House - One of the best hotels in any city.
Hyatt Regency Houston Intercontinental Airport - The pool was the highlight of the hotel and the staff was friendly. This is a 4 star option in Houston.

**WHERE TO EAT**
The Pit Room - Some of the best bbq we have ever had and we grew up in North Carolina so that is saying a lot.
Iguana Joe's - A great Tex Mex option and the one we went to have a playground for kids.
Culver's - This is a fast food option, but it is hands down the best fast food burger you will eat.
Buc-ee's - It wouldn't be a road trip without a stop at Buc-ee's.
La King's Confectionery - A great stop for ice cream in Galveston.
Shrimp N Stuff - A great option for seafood in Galveston.
The Downtown Aquarium Restaurant - An Underwater Dining Adventure - This was one of the best stops on our trip.

**WHAT TO DO**
Houston Museum of Natural Science - One of the best museums that we have ever been to.
Houston Aquarium - Even if you don't go inside they have a train outside that goes into an aquarium.
Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park - Such a fun stop especially in the summer.
Discovery Green - A great park in downtown Houston.
Seawolf Park - A great park in Galveston on the water.
POST Houston - This was a great place to eat and see the skyline.
Hermann Park Conservancy - A great park in Houston.
Baywatch Island Tours - We had a blast on this tour and learned so much about Galveston. Pat was our driver and was very friendly and knowledgable.

This past weekend we took a day trip to Simply Natural Creamery & Jersey Farm in Ayden, NC. This is a must do if you are in North Carolina or just passing through. They have fun for the entire family including tours of the farm and facilities, a playground for kids, slides, a jump pad and tons more. The ice cream was amazing and the staff was super friendly. This will definitely be a stop we will be making in the future.

On our most recent trip we visited the wonderful city of Charleston. We spent a few days here enjoying the city, awesome attractions and some truly great food. Here are some of our suggestions for the city below as well as a link to the youtube video.

**WHAT TO DO**
South Carolina Aquarium - Fun for the entire family. This is a great little aquarium and our kiddo loved it.
Childrens Museum Of The Lowcountry Charleston,SC - This was a fun stop for the kiddo. This is a pretty expansive museum with indoor and outdoor fun for the kids
North Charleston Fire Museum & Educational Center - This museum is a hidden gem in North Charleston. It was fun for both us and our toddler. At $6 per adult this one is a no brainer.
Morris Island Lighthouse - This was the second time visiting the lighthouse. It is a short walk from the parking lot, but is a must see.
Folly Beach, South Carolina - Such a beautiful beach town with beaches, lots of food and shopping.
Angel Oak - This tree is absolutely stunning. A trip to Charleston wouldn't be complete without a visit to the angel oak.
Magnolia Plantation - The gardens, house and petting zoo was so much fun for our family. Also make sure to do the 45 minute tram tour.
Hampton Park (Charleston, SC) - A beautiful park in downtown with large live oaks, a pond and a playground.
Charleston City Market - This is another stop that is a must when in Charleston. Support some of the local businesses and shop local.

**WHAT TO EAT**
Boxcar Betty's - Honestly the best chicken sandwich I have ever had.
Rodney Scott's BBQ - We grew up eating whole hog bbq and this place didn't disappoint. Don't go to Charleston and miss eating here.
Poogans Porch - Great food with lots of options. Conveniently located in downtown.
Ted's Butcherblock - This was a short walk from the aquarium, but the sandwiches were amazing.
AW Shucks - Great seafood. We have the tacos and they were great. This is a short walk from the market.

**WHERE TO STAY**
Hyatt - Always a great place to stay.
Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA Holiday - We have stayed here in past trips when camping. It's a great place to stay if you are looking a camping spot.
Charleston KOA Holiday - We have also stayed here on past trips when camping. This is north of the city and conveniently located.
Hyatt House - Always a great option. Hyatt House is a step above other hotels.
Hyatt Place Charleston Airport/Convention Center - This was a great option. 15 mins from downtown with excellent staff, clean rooms and great breakfast.
