Casablanca fam, we’ve got something special for you!
This Wednesday, Aug 20th, we’ll gather under the sign of MELLOWFORMS, an invitation to music discovery, to musical appreciation, and to sharing good vibrations together LA OLA ROOFTOP.

For its debut, we’re welcoming LA-based DJ, producer, A&R, radio host, and seasoned music head Mathieu Schreyer.

Born in France and raised across North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia before settling in LA, Mathieu brings a worldly soundtrack to every set. From captaining KCRW & ROVR Radio airwaves, to orchestrating original soundtracks for some of the contemporary times most notable cinematographic works, namely Michel Gondry’s “Human Nature” and Jon Favreau’s “Chef” and collaborating with music maestros such as Tricky, N’Dea Davenport, Steve Spacek, Leon Ware (Marvin Gaye). He’s also landed remixes for Les Nubians, Talib Kweli, Dwele, and Yusef Lateef. At present, Mathieu is closely collaborating with Brazilian artist Rogê

Weaved by feeling and intuition, Mathieu’s sets span great music from all corners.

“What I play depends on my mood, what I’ve been going through in my day-to-day life. My shows are a meaningful journey with ups and downs and lows and highs, like what you experience in life.”

“There will always be a blend of Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, African, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Electronica, Folk, Hip-Hop and plenty of oddities like weird soundtracks and library records… I am into so many different kinds of music. What I am really looking for in music is a feeling, and I am able to find it in all those genres.”

Back on the Echoboxr adio airwaves today, Polyswitch passes the torch to Saad El Baraka for a very special two-hour broadcast.

Saad Elbaraka is a Moroccan composer, multilingual lyricist, and producer. Deeply shaped by his surroundings, he crafts a sound that merges indie rock, synth-wave, and alternative sonics. His music carries a sense of nostalgia while remaining rooted in the now. Over the years, he has performed widely across Morocco and beyond, with standout appearances at Boulevard Festival, MAA EL MOGHREB in Tunisia, and FACT Liverpool.

Signing off the show on a high note, Saad includes songs from his freshly self-released EP titled; “Music Inspired by Love, Nature and Memories” a project he describes as:

“Deeply personal, where past and present collide in a distinctive atmosphere. A reflection on the things that matter most in life, those elements that shape us, woven from memories and moments, with a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary.”
