Blue-cheeked Bee-eater (Merops persicus)
is a scarce passage migrant in Morocco, mainly recorded during spring (April–May) and late summer to autumn (August–September). It is most likely to be seen in the Sahara, along the Draa Valley, around Merzouga, and occasionally at wetlands in southern Morocco, where small flocks may stop briefly during migration.
