šŸ³Advances in nutrition, healthcare, and awareness of healthy living have led to increased life expectancy and lower mortality rates.
šŸ³Currently, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea hold the highest life expectancies worldwide, significantly influenced by Chinese cultural practices, particularly in the realm of traditional Chinese medicine, which plays a crucial role in the region’s health and longevity. Cultural habits and dietary choices are deeply rooted in these societies.
Aging is now a universal issue, with countries experiencing both an absolute and relative rise in aging populations. Japan, Spain, and Italy are notable for their rapidly increasing elderly demographics, especially among those aged 80 and above.
šŸ³Studies have suggested that a diet low in protein and high in carbohydrates can promote longevity. Research from the Salk Institute found that eating within a shorter timeframe daily can result in health benefits, making a lower-carb, higher-protein diet potentially less advantageous compared to a balanced, moderate carbohydrate diet akin to the Okinawan style.
šŸCentenarian studies in South-East Asis with high numbers of those living past 100, like Okinawa and parts of Italy, emphasize plant-based diets low in protein and sugars, focusing instead on complex carbohydrates from beans and other plants. Many centenarians consume fewer meals daily, often finishing their evening meals before nightfall.

The tale of the ā€œLunar New Yearā€, also referred to as the Spring Festival (ę˜„čŠ‚, ChÅ«njiĆ©), is one of the most well-known legends linked to the Lunar New Year involves the story of Nian (幓兽, NiĆ”n shòu).
In ancient times, there was a terrifying monster named Nian (which translates to ā€œyearā€ in Chinese). Nian resided in the depths of the sea or in the mountains, emerging once a year on the eve of the Lunar New Year to assault villages. The creature consumed crops, livestock, and even people, particularly children. The villagers lived in constant dread of Nian, seeking refuge in their homes whenever it appeared.
One year, an elderly sage came to the village and revealed that Nian was afraid of three things:
Ā The color red – Nian had a particular fear of vibrant colors, especially red.
Loud noises – The monster was terrified by sounds such as firecrackers and drums.
Fire – Nian was afraid of flames and bright lights.
Determined to defend themselves, the villagers devised a plan. On the following New Year’s Eve, they adorned their doors with red lanterns and red scrolls, set off firecrackers, and ignited, bonfires. When Nian arrived, it was intimidated by the red decorations, resounding noises, and flickering flames. The creature fled and never returned.
From that moment on, the customs of wearing red, lighting firecrackers, and hanging lanterns became integral to the Lunar New Year festivities, believed to attract good luck and repel evil spirits.
The Lunar New Year is also a time for:
- Family reunions: Many travel long distances to gather with loved ones for the New Year’s Eve dinner.
- Giving red envelopes (ēŗ¢åŒ…, hóngbāo): These contain money and are bestowed upon children and unmarried adults as a symbol of good fortune.
- House cleaning: This act represents sweeping away misfortune and making space for good luck in the new year.
- Enjoying special dishes: Foods such as dumplings (鄺子, jiĒŽozi) and fish (é±¼, yĆŗ) are consumed to symbolize prosperity and abundance.

šŸ“Œ Summary
ā €
šŸ®Religions teach us that light was God’s first creation. Even if you don’t believe it, we all learnt that light stimulates life. To have life on the Earth it is necessary to be exposed continuously to the life-giving rays of the Sun.
If we aren’t exposed to Sun, soon the Earth would be transformed into solid block of ice, where life will cease to exist.
It is a Sun or better to say the solar energy which enables life to exist; grass to grow, stimulates herbs and vegetables to flourish, the fruits to ripen, so that man as well as animals may have food to live on.
ā €
šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ Chromotherapy is a method of treatment that uses the visible spectrum (colors) of electromagnetic radiation to cure diseases. It is a centuries-old concept used successfully over the years to cure various diseases.
Solar ray’s spectrum consists at one end of deep infra-red radiations, and on the other ends of deep ultra-violet radiation.
ā €
🌈 Rainbow is a great example of solar spectrum. It is caused by the passing of white sunlight through mist or raindrops and broken up into the seven visible colors of the solar spectrum, which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. The same solar spectrum can be obtained by passing a ray of white sunlight through the refracting surfaces of a glass prism, where it is split up into its components and can be seen as a beautiful band of seven colors if allowed to fall upon a white screen. White sunlight is a combination of seven visible colors as well as other kind of rays which are invisible to the human eye.
ā €
āš•ļø Bright white full-spectrum light is being used in the treatment of cancers, winter depression, anorexia, bulimia nervosa, insomnia, jetlag, shift working, alcohol and drug dependency, and to reduce overall levels of medication.
Blue light is also used in healing injured tissue and preventing scar tissue, as well as for burns and lung conditions.

⛩ International Sushi Day celebrates this potentially delicious meal and seeks to raise awareness about the truths and fictions surrounding it.
ā €
🧧Tracing sushi’s origins leads us on an interesting journey, taking us back to SE Asia and a method of storing and preserving fish for later consumption. Known as Narezushi, fish was stored by being wrapped in salted and fermented rice where it would remain good for months at a time thanks to the fermentation of the rice. Originally the rice was thrown away when it was ready to eat, and only the fish was consumed.
ā €
šŸ’Ÿ The next stage in the development of sushi would be far more familiar to the modern palate, known as namanare it was made from partly raw fish that was wrapped in fish and consumed before the flavor changed. Sushi had changed from a way to preserve fish to a new form of cuisine. But this wasn’t the last stage in the foods evolution.
ā €
šŸ“It was in the Edo Period, between 1600 and 1800AD in Japan, that the traditional form of sushi we know today came to exist. At this point it was unique to Japanese culture and consisted of fish and vegetables wrapped in rice, the rice was mixed with vinegar. This form of sushi had regional variations, but the basic idea is still one of the most popular forms of sushi today.
ā €
⛩ Head to your local specialist sushi restaurant and enjoy the delicacies lovingly prepared by a professional sushi chef. When we tell you that some chefs live and breathe sushi – we mean it. It is more than a simple foodstuff to them. Becoming what is known as an itamea of sushi in Japan requires many years of intense training and apprenticeship. After around five years of working with a master itamae, an apprentice sushi chef is given their first important task: preparing the sushi rice. The entire process can take as long as twenty years, so you are pretty much guaranteed excellent food if you go to a sushi bar. How many other professions train for that long?

⛩ World No To***co Day is observed around the world every year on 31 May. The annual observance informs the public on the dangers of using to***co, the business practices of to***co companies, what the World Health Organization (WHO) is doing to fight against the use of to***co, and what people around the world can do to claim their right to health and healthy living and to protect future generations.
ā €
šŸ˜• The day is further intended to draw attention to the widespread prevalence of to***co use and to negative health effects, which currently lead to more than 8 million deaths each year worldwide, including 1.2 million as the result of non-smokers being exposed to second-hand smoke.[2] The day has been met with both enthusiasm and resistance around the globe from governments, public health organizations, smokers, growers, and the to***co industry.
ā €
šŸ— For some, WNTD is seen as a challenge to individual freedom of choice or even a culturally acceptable form of discrimination. From ignoring WNTD, to participating in protests or acts of defiance, to bookending the day with extra rounds of pro-to***co advertisements and events, smokers, to***co growers, and the to***co industry have found ways to make their opinions heard.
ā €
šŸ“ World No To***co Days have not induced a positive vocal response from the to***co industry. For example, a memo made publicly available through the To***co Archives website was sent out to executives of R. J. Reynolds To***co Company in preparation for the third annual World No To***co Day,[38] which had the theme of "Childhood and Youth Without To***co". The memo includes a warning about the upcoming day, a document that explains the arguments they anticipate the WHO making, and an explanation of how the company should respond to these claims. For example, in response to the anticipated argument that their advertisements target children, the company's response includes arguments that claim their advertisements are targeted towards adults by using adult models, and that advertisements lack the power to influence what people will actually purchase.

⛩ Why drink tea?
Tea is a beverage made from the Camellia sinesis plant. Tea is the world’s most consumed drink, after water. It is believed that tea originated in northeast India, north Myanmar and southwest China, but the exact place where the plant first grew is not known. Tea has been with us for a long time. There is evidence that tea was consumed in China 5,000 years ago.

Tea production and processing constitutes a main source of livelihoods for millions of families in developing countries and is the main means of subsistence for millions of poor families, who live in a number of least developed countries.

The tea industry is a main source of income and export revenues for some of the poorest countries and, as a labour-intensive sector, provides jobs, especially in remote and economically disadvantaged areas. Tea can play a significant role in rural development, poverty reduction and food security in developing countries, being one of the most important cash crops.

Tea consumption can bring health benefits and wellness due to the beverage's anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and weight loss effects. It also has cultural significance in many societies.

🧧 International Tea Day
Re-emphasizing the call from the Intergovernmental Group on Tea to direct greater efforts towards expanding demand, particularly in tea-producing countries, where per capita consumption is relatively low, and supporting efforts to address the declining per capita consumption in traditional importing countries, the General Assembly decided to designate 21 May as International Tea Day.

The Day will promote and foster collective actions to implement activities in favour of the sustainable production and consumption of tea and raise awareness of its importance in fighting hunger and poverty.

⛩ Why not make some delicious baked green tea treats on International Tea Day and have a bake sale to raise money and awareness regarding working conditions in the tea industry? Green tea recipes are available in their abundance. People are actively searching for different ways to enjoy green tea. While green tea is delicious when simply mixed with hot water, there is nothing wrong with switching it up from time to time, especially on International Tea Day!

An easy and delicious recipe is Matcha Meringue Kisses. To make this you will need Matcha, sugar, egg whites, and powdered sugar. Begin by sifting together the Matcha and the powder sugar, and then whip the egg whites until they have soft peaks. Gradually add the sugar and whip until stiff peaks. Gently fold the Matcha into this mixture and then transfer to a pastry bag. Pipe the mixture into small kisses onto a baking tray and then bake for around an hour.

Or, why not make Green Tea Donuts? For this, you need green tea, honey, melted butter, milk, egg, salt, baking powder, sugar, and cake flour. You whisk the green tea, salt, baking powder, sugar, and flour. Add the honey, melted butter, milk, and egg, and then whisk. Use a pastry bag to pipe the batter into the mould. Then, simply bake the donuts for eight minutes. You can make your own glaze to go on the top – chocolate goes well!

Other delicious baked treats to try include green tea muffins, brownies and shortbread!

ā¤ļø WORLD MEDITATION DAY ā¤ļø
ā €
šŸ’œMeditation is a simple practice that can help everyone. By meditating, we can connect with our inner selves, become more aware, and manage our emotions better.
ā €
šŸ‘Œ When the world around you is ensconced in madness, and you can’t quite seem to find a moment of peace in the storm of the day, it’s time to step back and remember those blissful moments as a child where we merely lost ourselves in the world.
ā €
šŸ— World Meditation Day is a call to the world to take time to participate in this millennia-old practice and clear our minds, remembering that we are people first, and workers second.
Modern life can feel relentless and stressful. But with the right tools, we all have the potential to be healthier and happier. People everywhere can take the opportunity to press pause and reboot.
ā €
šŸ’” Meditation practices spread across Asia and to the Western world, where techniques were adapted to make them relevant to the unique spiritual, therapeutic, and practical needs of each culture.
ā €
šŸ’Ÿ In today’s world meditation is vital regardless of whether you’re a spiritual person or not, the frantic hustle and bustle of daily activity prevent many of us from ever having a moment’s peace.
ā €
🩷The benefits of meditation🩷
Some of the key benefits of meditation include:
ā£Helping with anxiety
Meditation is one of the most common holistic ways to treat the symptoms of anxiety, helping individuals to slow their heart rate, control harmful thoughts and prevent anxiety episodes.
ā£Reducing stress
Meditation is a great way to take time out from the busy world and to focus inwardly on yourself. The breathing exercises conducted while meditating can reduce blood pressure and lower stress levels, calming the mind and giving the body time to recover from periods of prolonged stress.

šŸ— Everything in Tao exists in a synchronistic relationship. Tao transmits the breath of life that powers the universe. It is considered that the Tao surrounds the universe and transmits different patterns of energy into the universe. The macrocosm communicates with the microcosm, and different patterns might affect and reorder seemingly unrelated events in the outer world.
ā €
šŸ— Chinese believe that the destiny is imprinted at birth in human soul (Chin. deå¾·) soul, while fate direct external forces that can influence the life path in order to achieve destiny.
ā €
šŸ— What is Synchronicity?
Synchronicity refers to simultaneous occurrence of two or more seemingly unrelated events. For example, to see 12:12 on the clock once doesn’t mean out of ordinary. However, seeing it several times in a row becomes subjectively and objectively significant. For many, such event might look unexplainable or even magical but as a matter of fact it is just a matter of synchronicity.
