ကော်နီရူပင်း (Kornerupine)
Kornerupine သည် ၁၈၈၄ ခုနှစ်တွင် ဂရင်းလန်း၌ ပထမဆုံးတွေ့ရှိခဲ့သော ရှားပါးကျောက်မျက်ရတနာတစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။ ၎င်းကို ဒိန်းမတ်နိုင်ငံသား ကျောက်မျက်ပညာရှင် Andreas Nikolaus Kornerup ဆိုသူက အမည်ပေးခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ပုံဆောင်ခဲအများစုသည် များသောအားဖြင့် အဝါရောင် - အစိမ်းမှအနီ - အညိုရောင်အထိ ထင်ရှားသော ရောင်ပြောင်းခြင်း (Pleochroism) ကိုပြသည်။ မြစိမ်းရောင်နှင့်အပြာအရောင်တို့သည် အရှားပါးဆုံးနှင့် တန်ဖိုးအရှိဆုံးဖြစ်သည်။ Kornerupine သည် အလွန်ရှားပါးသောကြောင့် ၎င်းသည် အဓိကအားဖြင့် စုဆောင်းသော ကျောက်တစ်ခုဖြစ်ပြီး လက်ဝတ်ရတနာများတွင် တွေ့ရလေ့မရှိပါ။ လုံးချောသွေးထားလျှင် အရည်အသွေး ကောင်း သော Kornerupine သည် ကြောင်မျက်လုံးသဏ္ဍာန်အလင်းတန်းနှင့် တခါတရံ ကြယ်ပုံဿဏ္ဍာန်(ဂေါ်ကြိုး) ကို ပြသနိုင်သည်။ ကော်နီရူပင်း ဂေါ်ကြိုးကို မိုးကုတ်မှာလည်း တွေ့ရပါသည်။ ကြောင်မျက်လုံး ဖြစ်ပေါ်ခြင်းသည် ရူတိုင်းအမျှင်များ နှင့် ဂရပ်ဖိုက်အောင်း၀င်များ ပါဝင်မှုကြောင့်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ Kornerupineသည် အိမ်မက်များကို အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ရန် တွန်းအားပေးသည့် ကျောက်မျက်ရတနာတစ်ခုအဖြစ် ယုံကြည်ကြသည်။

Kornerupine is a rare gemstone that was first discovered in Greenland in 1884. It was named after the Danish gemmologist “Andreas Nikolaus Kornerup”. Most crystals display a strong pleochroism, usually from yellowish-green to reddish-brown. The emerald green and blue colors are the rarest and most valuable. But since kornerupine is so rare, it is mainly a collector's stone and is not commonly seen in jewelry. A good quality Kornerupine, if cabochon cut, can display the “Cat’s Eye” effect and sometimes “asterism” (a star effect). Star kornerupine also has been found in Mogok. Cat's eye effect is due to inclusions of rutile and graphite. Kornerupine is a gemstone that become a motive force to make dreams come true.
