We filmed eight human-centered documentaries for the Gulf of Mottama project, implemented by Helvetas Myanmar, which aims to conserve and sustainably develop the unique biodiversity of the region. The objective of the assignment was to compile voices from the field that highlight reflections and impacts that the project has made on various project beneficiaries and stakeholders in the form of case study documentaries.
For this project, our team spent months in planning—coordinating with field staff, conducting pre-interviews, and working closely with the project team to understand the stories on the ground. Filming during the monsoon and reaching remote areas by land and water came with its challenges, but it’s all part of the work we love — telling stories that deserve to be seen and heard.
