Burdur Textile Center, Turkiye’s Longstanding Traditional Craft

Burdur, one of Turkiye’s longstanding textile centers,
has been a hub of weaving culture since antiquity.
Excavations in the region have unearthed primitive weaving tools dating back to 5600–5400 BCE,
providing evidence of the area’s deep-rooted connection
to textile craftsmanship. With its fine and soft texture,
Burdur Alaca Weaving is regarded as a piece of cultural heritage passed down
from generation to generation. At the Public Education Center in Burdur,
this traditional craft is being revived through workshops and weaving looms,
where local women come together both
to preserve the art and contribute to their family income.

Cybersecurity Investigation

The U.S. Department of Justice is now reviewing Google's proposed
acquisition of cybersecurity firm Wiz.
This scrutiny comes amid growing concerns over market competition and
potential antitrust violations.
The deal is estimated at 32 billion U.S. dollars and
it would mark Alphabet’s largest acquisition to date.
If approved, it would integrate Wiz into Google Cloud,
significantly strengthening its cybersecurity capabilities—particularly
in helping businesses address and manage critical security risks.
As reported by Bloomberg News, the investigation is still in its early stages.
It’s being led by the DOJ’s antitrust division,
which is assessing whether the acquisition could unfairly reduce competition
in the cybersecurity space.

Daytamotbarat Sasana Land

Ye township is situated in the southern end of Mon State.
It's 284 miles away from Yangon and it was known
to be a town where the railway line ends.
In Mon Language, Ye is called Dein Ye and the name sticks till today.
The majority of the people are ethnic Mon and Myanmar
and they are Buddhists. Religious edifices across the town is a testament
to the religious devotion of Ye people.
Among them, Daytamotbarat Sasana Land has become one of the attracting sites
for visitors to Ye. It's where Mon missionary Sayardaw does his missionary works.
The Sasana Land is on Mawlamyaing-Ye highway road, 6 miles away from Ye town.
