Removing Ghost Nets in Ngwe Saung, Myanmar🇲🇲
What started as a routine dive quickly turned into a conservation mission. As soon as we entered the water, we discovered a large ghost net tangled around coral reef colonies. The abandoned fishing net had already trapped several marine creatures and was causing damage to the reef ecosystem.
Together, our team carefully removed the entanglement to prevent further harm and give the reef a chance to recover. Every ghost net removed means fewer animals trapped and healthier oceans for future generations.
A reminder that what we leave behind in the ocean doesn't simply disappear—it continues to impact marine life long after.
