A great family dinner in
The staff is super nice and friendly always attentive to our needs.
The food was excellent with a really good starters platter. For mains we had the “Henrique VIII Beef”, “Octopus with Chestnut” and “Golden Fresh Hake fillet”.
To finishe the dinner, something special and off the menu, “Sonhos” (Dreams) alongside the outstanding “Grand Constance 2019” from Groot Contantia Winery

The perfect drink for a winter night in the North of Portugal - a nice spicy whiskey to warm up the night - Single Barrel with notes of caramel, nuts spices, vanilla and toasted oak. Surprisingly good!

What an amazing whiskey!! Perpetual Collection 15 Years VAT 03 was a great surprise. The maturation of this whiskey was performed in European oak sherry and Bourbon barrels, which are later combined in the Solera vat. The end result is a wonderfully rich whisky, with notes of heather honey, vanilla, plums, sweet malt, cherries, prunes, sultanas, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, some oak shavings, cloves, orange rind, nutty sherry, milk chocolate and leather.

An outstanding Riesling from .doennhoff to pair with today’s Sunday dinner.
Lovely acidity balanced with the sweetness makes a perfect wine for something a bit more fatty and creamy.
