Nicole brings a strong South American basketball background, having earned multiple honours and medals while playing in Peru for Santa Rosa School, Abancay, and UPC University. 🇵🇪🏀

A huge fan of Stephen Curry, the greatest shooter in NBA history, Nicole shares his passion, energy, and relentless work ethic on the court—qualities that make her a key contributor for our squad. 💫💪🏻

Stefan’s basketball journey is decorated with success—champion at U19 and U23 levels, four 2nd Division titles, and multiple 1st Division cup victories. His commitment and performance have consistently set the standard. 🏆

A proud moment in his career was representing Malta at the U17 FISEC Games, held locally, where he showcased his talent on the international stage and added further value to his legacy. 🇲🇹🌍

With over a decade of basketball experience in Serbia, and recent seasons playing for Fusion in Malta, Maria has proven herself as a seasoned and intelligent player. Her basketball roots run deep—her favorite team is Partizan Belgrade, and she draws inspiration from legends like Dejan Bodiroga and Kevin Durant. 🎯🔥

As we build towards another competitive campaign, Maria’s experience and leadership will be crucial in guiding our Lionesses through the new season.

At 44 years old, Nelson brings unmatched experience, leadership, and a deep love for the game. Originally from Portugal, his basketball journey began at age 14 and has taken him across the globe—from honing his skills in South Africa to now competing in the Maltese league under the guidance of coach Harry Savaya. 🌍🏀

Though he doesn't single out a favorite player, Nelson draws inspiration from the playmaking brilliance of Facundo Campazzo and the basketball IQ of LeBron James—qualities that shine through in his own court presence. 🧠🎯

We’re honored to have Nelson’s commitment and experience as part of the Citizens’ family once again. Let’s hear it for the veteran Lion! 💪🏻❤️🤍

Standing at 2 meters tall, Matthew brings size, experience, and calm leadership to our squad. A product of Loyola Basketball Club, he has participated in numerous international camps across Europe and represented Malta at the U16 European Championship Division C in 2010 and 2011, along with other national team appearances. 🇲🇹

After stepping away from the game, Matthew made his return with Valletta—and we’re excited to have him back for another season, anchoring the paint and leading by example. 💪🏻

A former Serbian national team player, Sara also boasts an impressive collection of individual accolades, earned through skill, determination, and hard work at a young age.

🏀 Valletta B.C. is proud to welcome Matteo Rieger to the club!

A center with national team experience, Matteo has represented Malta in both the U16 and U18 Division C competitions. During the 2025 FIBA U18 EuroBasket Division C, he averaged 1.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game—including a standout performance of 6 points and 9 rebounds vs Gibraltar.

Matteo is a hardworking young talent known for his strong defensive presence and rebounding ability. For the 2025–2026 season, he will be part of both Valletta Dream in the First Division and Valletta Knights in the Second Division.
