Your Mind Attracts What You Focus On

Focus on looking for opportunities for growth, business 👉 opportunities come out of nowhere

Focus on how much you DON'T have money and you're broke 👉 you see more unexpected spending coming your way or circumstances making you even more broke

And that's when we usually say "mari bezer tou arriv en meme temps"...

Your mind is a powerful tool, you attract and create through it.
Control your thoughts, control what comes your way.

Food for thought... 🧠

When employers are running ads to employ people instead of running ads to promote their business... you get an idea of how scarce people who actually want to work are... 🙄

Did you know that you can target specific regions where you want your ads to be shown instead of Mauritius as a whole and waste money on unnecessary clicks?

Here for example we could have excluded Quatre Bornes since they are looking for people only from Bambous, Cascavelle and Flic en Flac.
Yet someone who is from Quatre Bornes commented...

I started by buying my first phone cash on my own at 16,
Bought my first laptop cash on my own at 22,
Invested in my first degree cash on my own at 25,
Bought my first car on my own fully paid at 30,
Bought my first apartment on my own at 33.

I'm not saying all that to FLEX 💪 (okay maybe a little 🤭), but MOSTLY to show you that it is possible. 💯

For those who know me, I lost my dad when I was a 5yr old. My mother had to raise us both my brother and I ALONE... Oh YES she hustled... Effin badly...

While I saw other kids being given mobile phones, digital cameras, losing them, getting new ones, getting their own desktop computer, wearing branded clothes, I could not get access to those. It was not even an option to SUGGEST mom to give me money to buy a branded clothing. We even once had a power cut because mom did not pay the bills yet! 😐🤣

Absolutely felt poor and at the LOWEST level. 😥

I felt that everything would have been different if my dad was still there. I/we would be better off!
AND...

I could have thought:
❌ I won't be able to get a mobile phone because I don't have a dad and don't have the money..

❌ I cannot buy my own laptop because I don't have a dad and don't have the money..

❌ I cannot pursue further studies because I don't have my parent's money to help me..

❌ I cannot buy a car because I don't have a dad who can advise me and I don't have the money, it's too expensive..

❌ I cannot buy an apartment because I am on my own and in today's times, you can only buy a property if you are two-married/in a relationship..

Heck ... To be COMPLETELY honest, I once believed all those too at some point.

BUT, I did not let these stories define my life.
I did not let other people's stories and society's limiting beliefs define my path..

I CHOSE to reframe and rewrite those beliefs...

Was it EASY? No. Still not. But it gets easiER...

Did I have DOUBTS? Absolutely. Still do. But you learn to shush them. 🤫

Did I have SETBACKS? Hell yes! Even RIGHT NOW!

But you learn to be resilient and resourceful. 🧠

AND... The FIRST time is always harder...

The more you put yourself outside of your comfort zone, the more you find it easier to adapt.

Sometimes it was not by choice, but for survival...
However, I'm grateful for all the lessons I've learnt and the experiences I've gathered.

I am thankful for what I have today and my journey up to now... AND I want more!!!

You never lose. You either WIN ✅ or you LEARN. 📚

If I was able to do all that, if it was possible for me, why can't it be possible for you?

My NEXT TARGET 🎯 you ASK?

Hitting MINIMUM 700000 RS / 14600 $ income PER MONTH through different income streams before 40.

Today I want to ask you:
What are the stories you tell yourself?
What are the stories and limiting beliefs you've inherited from other people?
Do you think that it's time to reframe and rewrite those stories?

Do you want us to rewrite these stories together?

If the answer is YES to those last 2 questions, comment "GO" below 👇 and let's start!

Innovation... or branding faux pas? 🤔

Walking down the tea aisle the other day, I was hunting for a favorite: Corson’s Honey Caramel Tea.🍯☕

At first, I didn’t see it.
I walked up and down. TWICE! Or was it thrice? 😅
Scanning the shelves…
Looking for the caramel drip, the honeycomb, the cozy warmth.

Then, fiinally, I found it… 👀 starting from one box of another flavour with the “old packaging”... Realisation hit! Ahhhh Corson did a rebranding of their packages?
Same tea, same flavor - but now sitting inside a plain red box…
Clean? Yes. ✅
Modern? Sure. ✅
But no imagery. ❌ No emotion. ❌ No instant “that’s the one” moment. ❌
Gone were the honey, caramel, and rising steam.
In short.. Completely FORGETTABLE.

My next thought was:

> "Why rebrand?"
> "Who approved this?"
> "Was it internal marketing or agency-led?"
> "Did they have multiple mockups/options to choose from?"
> "Was it triggered by poor sales?"

The old box told a story:
✨ Honey dripping from the comb
🍯 Caramel swirling into tea
☕ A moment of comfort you could almost taste

The new box?
Silent. Sterile. Easy to miss.

It reminded me of famous branding flops:

Tropicana’s $30M redesign loss (bye-bye orange with the straw)
Gap’s logo backlash (reversed in under a week)
Pepsi’s endless refreshes (modernized but emotionally diluted)

Minimalism might be trendy, BUT if it costs you recognition, appetite, and emotional pull - what’s left?

Brands need to remember:
Customers don’t buy products.
They buy moments. Feelings. Images.

When you take away the imagery that pulls people in, you’re not making things "modern."
You’re making things invisible and you DO NOT stand out from the lot. So many teas exist in our supermarkets nowadays. Gone are the days when you only had Corson or Chartreuse to choose from.
Thus, it is even more important to keep the edge, to keep the visual appeal with Mauritians.

In a visual category like food & drink, you’re not just selling a box.
You’re selling a craving. A “Mmm I can taste it already” moment.🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Strip away the image, and you ask customers to imagine it themselves.
Most won’t. Because we’re wired to avoid effort.

We’re wired to take the path of least resistance.

📚 Psychology 101: Cognitive load & processing fluency 🧠
We gravitate to what’s familiar, visual, and emotionally easy to digest.
When we need to work harder to connect, we scroll past. We forget.
That’s just how the brain works:
The harder it is to feel something, the easier it is to forget.

That’s the thought I walked away with…
Actually my final thought was…
Will this rebrand bring more 💸 or less 💸?

What’s your take? Place your bets! 🎲

👇Have you ever seen a brand redesign that left you searching for something that should have been obvious?
