Happy Easter from the deck of Teatime! 🐰⛵ This year, our holiday table is set in a marina in the Maldives. The fresh braided bread and bunny rolls came straight from our boat’s oven, and the napkin bunnies brought a little spring vibe to the tropics. Wherever you are in the world, our family wishes you a very happy, relaxing holiday and a wonderful teatime! ☕🌷 How are you spending your day today?

The secret is out! 🤫🇲🇻 After 6 years of sailing the world, we are finally opening our deck to YOU!

Our very first group of guests just set sail today on the brand-new S/Y INFINITEA, officially kicking off our Maldives sailing expeditions! ⛵️✨

Starting just 15 minutes from the airport at CROSSROADS Maldives, this is your chance to experience the true, uncrowded exclusivity of these atolls. Led by our trusted crew, Joris and Olivia, it’s a hands-on, community experience where we explore the best lagoons and share the authentic ocean lifestyle.

Whether you want to snorkel, wakeboard, paddleboard, or try your luck at fishing, the boat is fully equipped for it. Imagine grilling our freshly caught fish over a beach bonfire, followed by a movie night under the stars on a completely uninhabited island! 🎣🔥🏝️🎬

To celebrate our first season, we are offering special introductory prices on all cabins! 🥂

11 days, 2 boats, 1 ocean. 🌊⛵️

Crossing the Indian Ocean side-by-side with our friends on Infinitea (.afloat and Kyle) meant we were never truly alone out there. In fact, when they ran out of lucky fishing lures mid-passage, we set up a high-seas delivery service using just a line and a fender! It definitely paid off, resulting in some beautiful fresh Wahoo for dinner. 🐟

A passage like this becomes its own little universe. We had plenty of “locals” escorting us 🐬, enjoyed family Sunday lunches surrounded by 360 degrees of blue, and kept entertained below deck.

But it wasn’t all perfect sailing. Thanks to our routing, we saw a massive wind hole waiting for us in the middle of the ocean. Knowing exactly what was coming is a game-changer—we knew we’d have to motor through it, which made us incredibly grateful for all those extra fuel cans we scrambled to buy back in Langkawi! PredictWind’s accuracy takes the guesswork out of passage making. 💨📱

Swipe to the very end for the big picture: this crossing pushed us over 30,800 nautical miles (~57,000 km) and 28 countries visited over the last 6 years. The circumnavigation loop is getting smaller! 🌍💙

Which part of passage life looks the best to you? Would you do such a passage?

Taking a quick break from our Indian Ocean recap for some real-time magic from the Maldives! ✨🇲🇻
Yesterday we celebrated Boróka's very special birthday anchored off a beautiful uninhabited island. The crew of Infinitea (.afloat) really went all out! They decorated the boat beautifully, crafted a handmade seashell dreamcatcher as a gift, and prepared an epic dinner: fish tacos made from our own fresh-caught tuna and homemade tortillas! 🌮🐟 Anna baked a whole tray of birthday muffins to make it complete. 🐚🧁
There’s really no better place to celebrate than in the middle of paradise with great company. ☀️⛵️
Happy Birthday Boróka! 🥳

You know you’re preparing for a massive ocean crossing when your days consist of carrying giant fuel jerrycans and buying a concerning amount of toilet paper and snacks! ⛽️🛒

Getting the brand new Infinitea ready for the remote tropics meant weeks of intense work in the Malaysian heat. Swipe through to see the reality of outfitting two boats for an 11-day Indian Ocean passage:
🏗️ Hauling the boat out for maintenance.
🔧 Crawling into impossibly tight spaces for installations (Olivia’s favorite “bed”).
🖨️ 3D printing custom AC parts right on board because the right joint didn’t exist in Asia.
🪢 Our young crew members sharpening their knot skills and keeping morale high with some onboard baking. 🍪

We couldn’t have pulled this off alone. A massive shoutout to Joris and Olivia ( .afloat ) and Kyle ( ), who dove straight into the sweaty, dusty work with us. 🙌

In the final video, you can hear the roll call as we finally drop the lines. Huge thanks to .andrew for capturing this amazing departure moment! 🎥

Next stop: crossing the ocean to the Maldives! 🌊⛵️

If you scroll down our page, you might remember our posts from last summer, testing out our brand new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 490 (Infinitea) around the beautiful Greek islands. 🇬🇷⛵️ But many of you asked: how did she get from the Mediterranean all the way to the Indian Ocean?

With the Red Sea route being too unpredictable, we had to make a massive logistical decision: we shipped her on a cargo vessel! 🛳️

After an unforgettable European shakedown cruise—sailing from Lefkada to Athens, Santorini, Sifnos, and Kos—we brought Infinitea to Lavrion, Greece. There, she was carefully loaded onto a massive cargo ship bound for Asia.

While she made her way across the world, we flew back to our home boat, Teatime (our Jeanneau 51), in Langkawi. A month later, we reunited with Infinitea in Phuket, Thailand, unloaded her from the cargo ship, and sailed her straight to Langkawi to begin the big outfitting process.

A huge thank you to the Hungarian Jeanneau dealer for helping us navigate this massive milestone. The SO490 performed absolutely beautifully! 🙌

Next up: The great Langkawi outfitting! We spent weeks installing all the essential upgrades for your comfort and safety—like AC, a watermaker, an inverter, and Starlink internet. Plus, we’ll introduce the amazing crew who helped us sail both boats across the ocean to the Maldives! 👇

Happy New Year! ✨
We hope you’re having a great last day of the year, or already a good first day of the new one.

We’re in Malaysia, on Rebak Island in Langkawi.
In January we hope to head out into the Indian Ocean toward the Maldives, so besides normal life aboard, we’re deep in prep mode with INFINITEA and TEATIME. It’s that familiar pre-departure season: an endless list, lots of prioritising, deciding what must be done before we go, what would be nice to finish, and what can wait.

We’re also waiting on parts. A package from Germany was shipped on Dec 11 and hasn’t updated since Dec 12. Hopefully it’s found and makes it here in time.

It’s already past midnight here, so it’s 2026 on the island. We spent New Year’s Eve as a family of four: long walks around the island, then at midnight we went down to the beach, toasted, ate homemade pogácsa from the boat, and watched fireworks across the water.

Thank you for being with us and for all your messages this year.
Wishing you a happy 2026, calm seas, and fair winds. ⛵️✨

Merry Christmas, everyone! 🎄
We’re on Rebak Island with INFINITEA and TEATIME, getting both ready for an Indian Ocean passage to the Maldives. ⛵️

The marina ran a Christmas boat-decorating contest; we joined and were among the awardees. Big thanks to the marina and the resort for the kindness.

To all of you: your messages and support this year mean a lot. Thank you for being here with us.
Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and calm seas. ✨

Jegyek és könyvrendelés: jachtnavigator.hu/stw (csak itt)

Amikor évekkel ezelőtt a gyerekekkel hajóra költöztünk, Jimmy könyvei jó kiindulópontot adtak.
A személyes találkozó segített igazán: 2019-ben a düsseldorfi hajókiállításon beszéltünk vele először.

Mi most a hajón vagyunk, ezért nem tudunk ott lenni.
Aki teheti, menjen el és hallgassa meg ezt a legendát személyesen!

🇬🇧 We recommend Jimmy Cornell’s seminar and book launch in Budapest on 15 Nov; tickets and the book are at jachtnavigator.hu/stw. His books helped us at the start, meeting him in 2019 gave us the push to set off, and we’ve kept in touch since.

Stills from our short Siphnos stop.
Three days that felt like a deep breath after Athens.
Mountain breakfast, the old trail from Apollonia to Kastro, tiny chapels, kind people.
In the evening we slipped back for a little time just the two of us.
Less touristy. More real.

Our next stop was Athens, and of course we couldn’t miss visiting the Acropolis. We had been waiting for this for a long time. It was a mixed experience — we went early for the opening, but there was already a huge line. No surprise, it’s one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world.

The Parthenon, the Erechtheion with its Caryatids, and the Temple of Athena Nike were all impressive, both in their scale and the history behind them. The view over Athens from the top was also fantastic.

Still, with so many people around, it wasn’t our favorite place — for us and for the kids it felt very different from what we’ve been used to these past years of sailing. But even so, we’re glad we went. It was a special experience, and we know we’ll visit more iconic tourist sites in the coming days.
