If planning your next couple’s trip is your responsibility, we want you to get it right! Because if it’s great, you’ll probably hear about it for years, and if it’s bad you’ll probably also hear about it for years. Lol
Use this formula:
1 Big Event
+ 1 Nice Hotel
+ 1 Bonus Experience
+ 1 Themed Activity
+ 1 Date Night Dinner
+ 1 Local Food Stop
+ 1 Neighborhood Visit
And if you’re looking for destination ideas, Indy is a great option, especially if you come during the Indy 500! Nice hotel options, walkable downtown area, amazing food scene, super cute coffee shops, fun entertainment, and more. Thank you for hosting us and giving us the tea on a perfect Indy weekend :-)
Below is what our Indy weekend included:
🏁 Indy 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway ()
🏨 A downtown stay at Omni Severin ()
🏀 Indiana Fever () game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse ()
☕ Breakfast at Borage Café ()
🏎️ Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum ()
🍽️ Dinner at RH Indianapolis
🍩 Donuts from Long’s Bakery ()
🥐 Brunch at Café Patachou ()
🚶🏽‍♀️ Exploring The Stutz
🍴 A stop at The Garage Food Hall ()
And with more time, we would’ve added...
Commission Row (), Mel’s Speakeasy (), Newfields (), The Rathskeller (), Parlor Public House (), Kicasso Sneaker Art Bar (), TEA’S ME CAFE (), and St. Elmo Steak House ()
The formula is simple: Pick the event. Book the stay. Add food, romance, one local classic, and one neighborhood to explore.
Save this for your next Indy weekend.
Question: What big event would you build a whole trip around?

The Indy 500 is the largest single-day sporting event in the world, drawing over 300,000 fans every Memorial Day weekend. And the is so large it can fit Yankee Stadium, the White House, the Taj Mahal, the Roman Colosseum, and the Vatican City inside it ALL AT THE SAME TIME! 🤯 Thanks to for hosting us!
We’ve quietly been on a mission to have a date in every U.S. State, and needless to say, Indiana did not disappoint! We weren’t racing fans going in, but we still had an absolute blast! The adrenaline rush and excitement of the day were contagious! From everyday Americans to professional athletes to politicians to talk show hosts, everyone was having a time! We even met people who have been making this trip for 50+ years! So you know it has to be special!
Helpful Info:
🎟️ Pricing: General Admission starts at $50. Stadium seating goes up to $300.
🏛️ Museum: Visit the before race day. 110 years of racing history, interactive games, and a pre-race show that makes the whole experience make sense.
🍔 Food: Traditional stadium classics, elevated options, and local Indiana specialties. You can also bring your own cooler packed with food and drinks!
🚗 Parking: Official IMS parking is around $85 but sells out fast. Rideshares aren’t allowed at the track on race day, so plan to get dropped off, park close, and walk, or ride a bike (we saw several people who did this).
👗 Clothing: Truly a wide range, casual, quirky, and dressed up. Wear whatever feels right.
✨ Vibe: A fun date day for us, but families were there, too. You can make this experience whatever you want it to be.

Skip the crowded Euro summer itinerary and do this instead. Last summer, we had the opportunity to sail along the Turkish Riviera with and had a blast. A Turkish gulet cruise might not be on your couples bucket list, but here are 5 good reasons why you should consider it.
Here’s why it works:
Reason 1️⃣:
Meals are prepared onboard and feel more personal than constantly hopping from restaurant to restaurant. You get a personal chef who makes delicious meals and crew members who bring you snacks, coffee, and drinks whenever you want.
Reason 2️⃣:
You can make the trip slow or active. Some couples want rest, some want adventure. One person can journal on deck while the other jumps in the water. This trip allows both.
Reason 3️⃣:
You still get excursions, culture, and movement. And the great thing about it is you don’t have to plan every activity.
Reason 4️⃣:
It works for couples, families, or groups of friends. You can make it a romantic reset or turn it into the group trip everyone actually talks about for years.
Reason 5️⃣:
It gives you the feeling of a boutique hotel, boat day, and an itinerary all in one. Basically, multiple trips in one week.
Save this if Turkey or a Euro Summer is on your travel list, and send it to the person you’d book this with.
Would you do this as a couples trip or a group trip?

I had one requirement for my birthday. I had to be on a beach…in Africa.

I had a detailed spreadsheet with hotels, flights, etc. But I almost talked myself out of the trip.

The available timing didn’t feel ideal, and I started questioning whether we should even go. So my husband stepped in, picked the dates, booked everything, and made sure the trip actually happened. (Thank you, honey. You’re the best!)

We stayed at Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh (Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts), and from the moment we arrived, we knew it was the right call. The property is stunning, with calming architecture, beautifully designed spaces, and views of the Red Sea.

Waking up to the ocean and making it to the breakfast spread each morning was the best way to start our days. Each day felt peaceful… yet full. We even planned a progressive dinner across the resort, where the staff made every stop feel like a celebration. It wasn’t just a beautiful trip. It was a reminder not to talk yourself out of the things you really want.

Is there something you’ve been talking yourself out of lately?
