Eid is a time of unity—a moment when families and entire communities come together to celebrate and create cherished memories.
Our forefathers had their own unique way of celebrating Eid, traditions that have slowly faded with time. Yet, we still hear stories from our grandparents about the grand celebrations of the past. This project is our attempt to rekindle those memories and remind the older generation of how Eid was once celebrated.
This year, four studios—Bunnaru Studio, Chappala Studio, Studio 33, and FOTO MALDIVES—have joined forces to bring a glimpse of these cherished traditions to life. For over a year, we’ve poured our hearts into this project, not just to release a song, but to create something truly memorable—a tribute to the true spirit of Eid in the past.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Abdulla Afeef (Afeebbe) for his incredible lyrics and Mohamed Ajeeb (Ajeebbe) for guiding us in authentically portraying these celebrations. A special thanks to Thinadhoo City Council, Women’s Development Committee - GDh.Thinadhoo, Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital, The Maldives National University, Thinadhoo Campus, Avid College Thinadhoo, Aboobakuru School, Thinadhoo School, and Rahfushu Boduberufor their invaluable support in bringing this vision to life. While we may not be able to name every individual, we deeply appreciate everyone who contributed to making this project a reality.
So sit back, enjoy the song, and let us take you on a journey back to a time when Eid celebrations were simple yet unforgettable.
