PRESIDENTIAL TRAVEL: APM FLIES TO SOUTH AFRICA ON PRIVATE VISIT

President of the Republic of Malawi, His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, is today set to travel to the Republic of South Africa on a private visit.

According to a press release issued from Capital Hill in Lilongwe, the President is scheduled to depart from Kamuzu International Airport at 2:00 PM today, Friday, 12th June, 2026.

The press release was signed by Chief Secretary Justin Adack K. Saidi, PhD., and carries Reference Number CS/S/001.

Police Seek Assistance in Tracing Man Who May Assist Murder Investigation

Police in Woodstock, Cape Town, are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Ebrahim Farland, who may be able to assist investigators in a murder case linked to a fatal shooting in Walmer Estate, Woodstock, in September 2025.

Police have emphasized that Farland is not regarded as a suspect at this stage.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Sergeant David Basson, call Crime Stop, or submit information through the MySAPSApp.
