MATAMBO VOWS TO COMBAT CR!ME IN CHINGOLA

Government has announced plans to boost security in Chingola by increasing police presence, allocating K173,000 and over 3,000 liters of diesel for 24/7 patrols, aimed at combating the rising cr!me and vi0lence in the district.
Speaking when he met with the clergy, security personnel, and business leaders recently, Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo emphasized that the government would reinforce its commitment to protecting the people of Chingola.
“We are here to reinforce our commitment to protecting the people of Chingola. We understand that security is key to creating a stable environment for businesses to thrive.”
Mr Matambo reassured the people of Chingola that the government ensure that cr!me in the district is combated and not tolerated.
“let me make this very clear, cr!me will not be tolerated. We are determined to confront and deal with cr!minals head-on”, he said.
He praised President Hakainde Hichilema's efforts in fostering peace in the province, saying "thanks to the leadership of our President, the Copperbelt is seeing a restoration of peace. I urge every citizen to remain vigilant. If you see something suspicious, report it without fear."
The minister also commended the Zambia Police Service for their ongoing work, acknowledging the arrests that have already been made, and noted that all ten districts in the Copperbelt are now on high alert to ensure a safe and secure environment for communities.
