We are deeply saddened by the passing of Kenneth Mkese, a proud LUANAR, Bunda Campus alumni and the dedicated class representative for the Agroforestry Class of 2025. Kenneth served his class with integrity, humility, and unwavering commitment—qualities that earned him respect across the campus community.
Kenneth was not only a leader academically but also a shining star in sports. He was a prominent hockey and football player, known for his passion, discipline, and team spirit. His contribution to university sports will forever be remembered.
On the 20th of this month, Kenneth graduated from LUANAR, though in absentia. His achievement stands as a testament to his hard work and determination, even as he battled ulcers and later kidney failure a condition that eventually claimed his life.
Today, we celebrate his life, honour his impact, and mourn a young man gone too soon.
May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may his family, friends, and fellow alumni find comfort during this difficult moment.
Rest well, Kenneth. Your legacy will forever live in the halls and hearts of Bunda Campus. 🕊️
