Breaking News: Air India Plane Crashes After Takeoff – Only One Survivor

Today, a tragic accident happened in India. An Air India flight going from Ahmedabad to London crashed shortly after takeoff. The plane had 242 people on board, including passengers and crew.

The plane went down just minutes after takeoff and crashed into a building near a medical college in Ahmedabad. Sadly, over 200 people have died, including some students who were in the building.

Only one person survived the crash — a 40-year-old British-Indian man named Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. He was sitting near the emergency exit (seat 11A) and managed to escape with some injuries. He is now recovering in the hospital and said the crash happened very suddenly, just 30 seconds after takeoff.

Rescue teams are still working to find more people and help the injured. The government has started an investigation to find out what caused the crash. Leaders from India and around the world have shared their sadness and support for the families affected.

This is one of the worst air disasters India has seen in recent years. We pray for the families of those who lost their lives. 🙏

National Bank of Malawi (NBM) has today unveiled a MK1.5 billion sports sponsorship package for the 2025 season during a live event held at NBM Towers in Blantyre.

Out of the total package, MK400 million has been allocated to TESAM to support grassroots sports and youth development, while MK430 million has gone to the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) to boost football activities, league management, and national competitions.

A key focus of this year’s sponsorship is the development of women’s football.
