Khaunselo ya boma la Rumphi yakwezga misokho kwa wanthu wakuchita malonda mu boma ili wati chifukwa chakuwa kwa nkhongono ya ndalama ya Kwacha.

Mlala wakuona vya masambiro ku khaunselo ya boma la Rumphi ba Emmanuel Mwalilino wati vilingwa vya wasambiri wa standade 8 vyayamba makola kwambula masuzgo yaliyose.

Apo Rumphi FM online yati yendera wasambiri awo wakulemba vilingwa vya sitandade 8 awa mu ma sukulu ya St Denis na Bumba primary school yangusanga chikhwimisko chakukwana pa vilingwa ivi.

Mwa wasambiri 4700 awo walembenge vilingwa ivi mu boma ili, 2300 mba sungwana ndipo 2400 mbasepuka.

Vilingwa ivi vyayamba mwahuno pachitatu ndipo vimalenge pachikhonde.

The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has temporarily suspended some of its services from 20 May to 19 July this year because it will be conducting national examinations in the stated period.

Provision of the certificate replacement, certificate by accumulation, certificate upgrading, verification and aunthentication of certificates, equating of certificates, notification of results slip and international and local academic transcripts are some of the services that have been suspended.

This is according to a press statement released today signed by the executive director Professor Dorothy Nampota on temporary suspension of some of its services by the board.

The statement further informs the general public that it will administer the 2024 national examinations as follows; Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations from 22nd May to 24th May 2024, Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) Examinations from 4 June to 13 June 2024.

The Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations will be administered from 2nd July to 26th July 2024.

Malipoti kufuma ku ofesi iyi yakuoneska kuti kufuma mmwezi wa January mpaka March, boma la Rumphi lalembeska milandu yakukwana 124 apo chaka chamala likalembeska milandu yakukwana 175.

Ivi vayowoyeka mayiro pakhumano gha komiti Station Executive Committee (SEC)yakuona za chivikiliro mu boma lino.

Ulato wa khumano iyi ukawa kuwonapo nthowa izo zingalutiska chivikiliro panthazi nakuchepeska milandu kweniso na umo komiti yagwirira ntchito pa miyezi itatu mchaka chino.

Pakuyowoyapo pa khumano iyi mulala wa police muboma la Rumphi ba Pherson Nthenda wati pasono milandu iyo yikusuzga ni kutundulana za ufwiti,ba chiukirano kupalamula milandu yokupambana pambana na khani za nkhaza(gender based violence).

Absenteeism among learner's in some primary school's in Rumphi district is expected to reduce following the initiative of home grown feeding program championed by harvest plus.

Rumphi district council chief education officer Emmanuel Mwalilino, in an interview on the sideline of the field day held at Mhuju and Hewe said that the program will help to keep learner's in schools while reducing absenteeism.

Mwalilino expressed satisfaction on how school's and parents have adopted the initiative.

Traditional Authority Mwahenga encouraged parent's to grow the orange maize in their various homes, to promote balanced diet with their families.

Currently harvest plus is supporting 28 primary schools in the district.

Bumba youth club has urged people in Rumphi district to have zeal in helping prisoners in different ways.

The remarks were made after a visit to prison by the club members who performed various activities including drama and comedy.

Speaking to Rumphi FM online chairperson for Bumba Youth club Sparrow Mkandawire says most times prisoners are underrated in the community hence they found it necessary to cheer them.

Commenting on the matter public relations officer for Rumphi prison Sub inspector MacFarlane Gondwe says prisoners feel depressed as rejected in the community.

Bumba youth club gave one bag of soya pieces besides entertainment.
