Reign of terror dawns

In the land of gentle breeze and golden sun,
A reign of terror has just begun.
Once a haven of peace,
Now echoes with cries that never cease.

Leaders, blinded by power's allure,
Have forgotten the people,
their hearts impure.
Corruption festers,
like a cancer deep,
While the masses suffer,
unable to sleep.

Children hungry,
mothers in despair,
As the rulers revel without a care.
Injustice reigns,
and freedom's voice is hushed,
In the shadows,
tyranny is brushed.

But hope still flickers,
a flame yet bright,
In the hearts of those who yearn for light.
For in unity and courage,
there lies the key,
To break the chains and set the people free.

So let us stand,
against the tide of fear,
And together,
let our voices clear.
For in our nation,
the dawn will break,
And freedom's song,
once again, awake.

Cholera has announced that schools in
Blantyre and Blantyre will open on 17 January, 2023.

This comes after the schools in the major cities were close to mitigate the spread of Cholera.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II BREATHS HER LAST

It has been announced that Queen Elizabeth II has died.

Queen Elizabeth II was a very good friend of Dr Kamuzu Banda.She visited Malawi in 1979 enroute to Lusaka to attend commonwealth heads of state/ government meeting.
She camped at Chawe in Zomba where there is the popular, Queen's View.

Due to the good relationship between Dr Banda and the Queen, Dr Banda became the first African to pay the Queen a state visit at Windsor Castle according to History. It is indicated that Dr Banda was the first African head of state to spend nights on the invitation of the Great Queen in the castle

He was also invited to attend the wedding of the century, when Prince Charles, heir to the throne married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981.

The Ngwazi also extended the invitation to his mbumba who were on a private visit to Britain using Kamuzu's money but watched the proceedings through TV.

In the subsequent years there were Royal visits of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, Princess Anne and Prince Andrew.

The young Queen assumed her office in 1952 and was married to Prince Philip for over 70 years. It was Philip who represented the Queen when Malawi got her independence in 1964.She is the longest serving monarch.
As the Queen, she has appointed 15 prime ministers, the first being Winston Churchill.

She has been the head of commonwealth as well as for Canada, Jamaica, Australia, Newsland among others.
