This is the lot.
After years of dreaming about a home in Mexico, we thought it would be Puerto Vallarta. But after visiting La Paz in Baja California Sur… we were hooked. It’s not as busy, not as touristy and that’s exactly why we love it.
Yes, it’s a two-hour drive from the Cabo airport to La Paz, but it’s a stunning one. And once you arrive? It's all sunshine, salty air, and that low-key magic you just can’t fake.
We fell for the calm beaches, vibrant marine life, outdoor adventures, and that old-school, friendly driving vibe that reminds me of how things used to be—less honking, more waving.
La Paz is a town with a strong local culture, a pretty sweet foodie scene worth exploring, and the most peaceful malecón where everyone comes out at night to actually enjoy life. No rushing. Just sunsets, music, and families out for walks.
But the real obsession? Baja's rugged landscapes. Giant cacti🌵 (extra points when they come with a bird on top), desert mountains, and that beautiful, dusty stillness.
After what felt like endless off roading through brush and wondering if we scratched the Jeep again, we landed on this rustic, off-grid lot with no city power, water, or sewer—just how we wanted it.
Now we’re planning to build a self-sufficient home with views of the Sea of Cortez and stars you can actually see at night.🌌
