📢 Actualización de alivio de las inundaciones de la Conferencia Anual de MidTexas
En nombre de la Iglesia Metodista Global, la Obispo Leah Gregory—que también sirve como Superintendente de la Conferencia Anual de MidTexas— comparte esta actualización tras las recientes inundaciones:
🙏 "MidTexas quiere agradecer la conexión por el derramamiento de oraciones y apoyo a la gente de nuestra conferencia. Hemos sido honrados por todos aquellos alrededor del país que han llegado y dado voz y corazón a lo que significa ser una iglesia coneccional. Gracias. Gracias.
En las semanas y meses venideros, será necesario realizar trabajos de recuperación en el terreno. Estamos trabajando para crear esas oportunidades de servir de formas seguras para los participantes y útiles para los destinatarios. Más información sobre eso estará disponible en la próxima semana.
Si quieres ayudar hoy, aquí hay tres cosas que puedes hacer:
1️⃣ Reza. Tómate tu tiempo todos los días y durante todos los días para orar por aquellos que han perdido a familiares, amigos y seres queridos. Oremos por nuestras familias que han perdido sus hogares y negocios. Oren por nuestros agricultores que han perdido sus cosechas. Oren por nuestros ganaderos que han perdido su manada. La oración es nuestra primera respuesta y hace la diferencia.
2️⃣ Montar cubos de inundación. Estos kits son útiles para inundaciones, incendios y más. Vamos a implementar tantos como sea necesario y almacenar extras para futuros esfuerzos de respuesta.

3️⃣ Donar. Seleccione "Alivio de Desastres" en el menú desplegable cuando se dé. Los fondos irán directamente a las áreas más afectadas, ayudarán a completar las inundaciones y apoyarán la respuesta inmediata a los desastres.

📢 Flood Relief Update from the MidTexas Annual Conference
On behalf of the Global Methodist Church, Bishop Leah Gregory—who also serves as the Conference Superintendent of the MidTexas Annual Conference—shares this update following the recent flooding:
🙏 “MidTexas wants to thank the connection for the outpouring of prayers and support for the people of our conference. We have been humbled by all those around the country that have reached out and given voice and heart to what it means to be a connectional church. Thank you.
In the weeks and months ahead, there will be a need for ongoing recovery work on the ground. We are working to set up those opportunities to serve in ways that are safe for the participants and helpful to recipients. More information on that will be forthcoming in the next week.
If you would like to help today, here are three things you can do:
1️⃣ Pray. Take time every day and throughout every day to pray for those who have lost family, friends, and loved ones. Pray for our families that have lost their homes and businesses. Pray for our farmers who have lost their crops. Pray for our ranchers who have lost their herds. Prayer is our first response—and it makes all the difference.
2️⃣ Assemble Flood Buckets. These kits are useful for floods, fires, and more. We’ll deploy as many as needed and store extras for future response efforts.
